Mom, wife, CoFounder of Dense Breasts Canada. Cancer made me mad and it made me brave. I am kind, but I am not naive.

Absolutely. False alarms certainly cause anxiety. The greater anxiety I see in women at any age,is when they are diagnosed with a large cancer, that could have been diagnosed when it was small, if they’d had optimal screening.

Time for credit card companies to reduce their sky-high interest rates to 1%. Charging folks 18-20% during a pandemic is blatant profiteering during a crisis when many are seeing their incomes reduced. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc - do your part!

There is just no future in sending hard-earned tax dollars to the big banks, in the form of interest payments. That road can only lead to a cliff which we don’t want to see.

On September 21, 2018 BC became the first province 2 share breast density information with all mammogram results sent 2 women+care providers. @BCCancer has produced the attached video that provides important health information on the subject. @MitziDeanBC youtube.com/watch?v=hiVrE2…

2019 was a year of progress on breast density notification for women in 🇨🇦, but postal code inequality exists when it comes to information given to women about their cancer risk. For full details on notification in 🇨🇦 please check out bit.ly/37qFQ9D

Note BC residents. Mammogram letter tells you your breast density and if you have Dense Breasts (C&D) MSP will pay for your breast ultrasound. JUST ASK your Doctor for a referral. Thank you @adriandix for@making this happen. Let’s get the rest of the country caught up now.
densebreastscanada@densebreastscdn

Thanks to @adriandix and the BC govt for implementing this a year ago. As a result, cancers missed by mammograms have been found earlier in women with denser breasts. Until there's a cure, let's find cancer early and small.
