Results are finally out and goal was achieved😁😁💃💃💃. 1.1 done and ready for 1.2 , which l am doing this semester. Dissertation next year. If l do well this semester and my dissertation gets a great mark, and if the Lord keeps me alive, we (the Holy Spirit and l) can pursue a doctorate degree. #PublicPolicyStudent

I had the honor of being one of the panelists at the Women Summit hosted by WCOZ. I had a great time. I was truly happy to be there. There were so many moments that made my heart full. When Janah Ncube and I hugged each other, the moments I got to lean my head on her shoulders and just be. You have no idea how fulfilling it is to share such moments with women who are pioneers of the women's movement in Zimbabwe, women l am inspired by. They know the struggle, shame.
The moment when I said something and Dr. Ruth Labode covered for me because she has more experience and expertise, I didn't have to defend my point. She brought in the facts. As a younger feminist, it was an honor.
Mum Sandi shared with us the history of how WCOZ started, why it was started. She gave us a glimpse into her phone call with Everjoice Win (May our Shero rest in power forever 💜💜💜). Mum Sandi told us about the 60 seats reserved for women and how they advocated for them. I salute these women always 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.
Tarie and Suku affirming me because they know how anxious I get with these stages. I just want to be loud on X (Twitter) and then be "behind the scenes". Janah says l am feisty🤣🤣.
I felt safe sharing the stage with Mum Chele Nyathi, she is the Director of SWRGN. She said I rebuke that Spirit of anxiety that seeks to grip you 🤣🤣🤣. She made me calm 🤍.
Here are my takeaway points:
1. I love the Bulawayo WCOZ mantra, "I see you, I honor you, and I support you". Let's live this mantra by doing it even for just one woman a day or week.
2. Asigijimeni Lento Yethu - Mum Sandi
3. Ukuba ngumuntu ngabantu, kuqala ngakini - Mum Sandi
4. Per diem yi passion 😭🤣🤣
5. There is power in solidarity
6. Lead with humanity, make spaces safer.
7. We must be enraged until statistics change - Janah Ncube
8. Adopt a child, mentorship is sponsorship, put money in the issue - Dr. Ruth Labode
9. You cannot ignore the call, we must answer the call, serve women in hard to reach areas.
10. Action, Action, Action. Encourage Action.
I soaked in so much. I am still chewing on what was shared by different women. Women are wells of wisdom.

I don't know why I feel a strong nudging in my spirit to celebrate one woman a day until the end of the month. I will honor a woman who has helped me in my journey, challenged the way I think, etc. I will start today with Stabile Dewa.
I honor Sta today for mentioning my name in funding spaces and giving me advice when I was trying to find my footing in the CSO space. Her organization funded TGT and has been a sister organization. Her team always shows us love and helps us when we need assistance.
We disagree on certain issues, and I probably frustrate her with my stubbornness, but my prayer is that she knows how I am forever grateful for the support she and her team have given me and TGT. Ngiyabonga.

❓️Did you know that an echo-chamber is a space where people are surrounded by ideas and opinions that match their own? This can happen when individuals only interact with like-minded people or sources of information.
As a result, they become closed off to differing ideas. This can be a threat to #informationintegrity because It can make someone believe their view is the only or most correct one.⬇️

The National Disability Policy (2021) adopts the Human Rights model of disability. People with disabilities need to know their rights to assert. Thanks to one of our partners we donated 80 "summarized" Zimbabwean Constitutions in English and Shona. #IDPD2024

Disability constituency has a role to play in making local leaders accountable. Meet CORAH sign language interpreter Alison Matinyarare signing for participants with hearing impairment during a community meeting in Epworth.
