🟥During our #WhatYouthWant conversations, youth submitted that Zimbabwe has been battling persistent economic instability characterized by high inflation, inconsistent monetary policies, low purchasing power, and a largely informal economy. These structural weaknesses have had profound consequences for young people, exacerbating poverty, unemployment, and overall disillusionment about the future. The economic challenges facing Zimbabwean youth are multifaceted, driven by a combination of historical economic mismanagement, external pressures, and systemic underinvestment in youth development. The 2023 publications under this initiative do carry solutions from young people to address the problems faced. In 2024 and 2025, we have been engaging youth stakeholders such as parliamentarians, presenting findings and youth demands that are constitutional.
