@OnDisasters I’ve read his book and had it personally signed at KSUS while at an air show…I watched him do this routine in awe…using inertia in a way he discussed doing in a P-38 in his book but took the cake in a Sabreliner, Yeager and himself legends!

The legendary Bob Hoover For most of us mere mortals, these are death-defying stunts, such as flying an Aero Commander with the engines turned off, while at the same time performing some very demanding aerobatics, for both man and machine. For Bob Hoover, it was Tuesday 📹pic_liam (IG)

This might be the most lovable Irish man walking God’s green earth. Couldn’t be happier for @ShaneLowryGolf! He was the brother McIlroy needed, and man did he deliver. And then he’s the guy to sink the winning putt. Magic 💚 #RyderCup2025

Restoring Your Faith in Humanity
While he was working at a restaurant in the US, this young employee had his bike, his only way to get home, stolen. His coworkers and regular customers came together and surprised him with a brand new one, delivered straight to the restaurant. His reaction says it all. That day, kindness won ❤️ 🎥 Credit - Unknown (Dm for credit or removal) ©️ All rights and credits reserved to the respective owner(s)

You're a 19 year old kid. You are critically wounded and dying in the jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam . Its November 14, 1965 . LZ (landing zone) X-ray. Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense from 100 yards away, that your CO (commanding officer) has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day. Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter. You look up to see a Huey coming in. But.. It doesn't seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it. Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you. He's not MedEvac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety. And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm. He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey. Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Army, died at the age of 81, in Boise, Idaho. God bless our vets!

We are saddened by the passing of Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13 and a four-time spaceflight veteran. Lovell's life and work inspired millions. His courage under pressure helped forge our path to the Moon and beyond—a journey that continues today. go.nasa.gov/41tbrpq

Every year, we bring together families of fallen military heroes for a week of healing, connection, and unforgettable moments at our Snowball Express annual event. ❤️❄️ This heartwarming video shares a glimpse into a week filled with remembrance, joy, and the power of community — where surviving spouses, children, and loved ones find comfort with others who truly understand. 🇺🇸 Thanks to our incredible supporters, these families are reminded they are never alone, and that their heroes will never be forgotten. 💙
