@WinstonHoward @DavidSacks There’s no evidence for any of these things. But if true still illegal. You’re saying that the FBI doesn’t need a warrant to surveill anyone so long as it works with a vigilante activist group? Basically the 4th Amendment doesn’t exist?

@Middle_Mtn1 @DavidSacks Their stated purpose was to “take down” these organizations. They had a working relationship with the FBI. Try doing some critical thinking for a change.

@DavidSacks Oh my god, you guys are shameless fucking hacks. Let’s just fail to mention that they paid INFORMANTS within the organizations mentioned for monitoring. Christ we live in a simulation where these dipshits are billionaires.

@anwarma @Watchdog_MP @Emolclause The US does not have sabotage teams in Canada. We do not wish to knock out critical infrastructure. The NSA does probably still do warrantless surveillance but it does so on the whole world including the US.

@Watchdog_MP @Emolclause I agree this is a horrendous crime but USA spying on us Canadian via their NSA and others by remote back door channel of the mobile network switches is not different then this , don’t forget what Edward Snowden pointed out ….

Singapore is a high trust society and doesnt have a homogenous culture. Different races and ethnic groups packed into a small space yet you can walk around at 3am drunk with cash hanging out of your pocket and a $100k watch on your wrist and no one will do anything
Lou Scott Keyes@LS_Keyes

Japan was the first time I understood what a "High Trust Society" looked like. It comes down to a homogeneous culture and people bound by a cohesive social fabric. Which doesn't exist in America.

Singapore is not a high trust society, it’s a port city where order is enforced by a draconian police state that canes people for stuff that isn’t even a crime here. If that police state disappeared next Tuesday, you’d have a race war by the weekend. Nice place to visit though.

@pmarca @grok Anyone who isn’t a moron that investigates organized crime. Using paid informants is normal. Other groups who do this include the FBI, your state law enforcement agency, your county sheriff’s department, and your local municipality’s police department. This isn’t a problem.

So @grok, we all just discovered that the SPLC has allegedly been funding some of the worst of the people and groups it claims to oppose. What are other activist pressure groups that advocate censorship/deplatforming of their enemies that could be doing the same thing?

Fairfax is to blame for all of Virginia’s blue shift over the past decades, but it’s not for the reason people think. Fairfax is not populated by Virginians. It’s populated by migrants and all 49 other states’ worst people whose dream job is to be a government bureaucrat.

@EricLDaugh Do you see the hypocrisy? All this gerrymandering is bad, but denouncing it in a blue state and encouraging in a red state is ridiculous. Please point me to your post denouncing Texas for starting this mess as I am having trouble finding it. 🤷‍♂️

🚨 BOOM: Florida can add up to +5 REPUBLICAN seats to more than cancel out Virginia's 10D-1R gerrymandering map that passed The special session is next week 🔥 Republicans' plan should be to go for BROKE in Florida, and strike down Virginia's map in the court system for violating law during the process Per NYT, Republicans can STILL end up leading the redistricting wars by as many as 6 seats, assuming Virginia holds. Make it happen.

@ForwardCarolina You gerrymander by concentrating your opponent’s voters into singular districts. Which the Dem do to themselves by catering only to urban interests. This is just normal map. Try connecting with country people and this will change.

The @GOP had a once-in-a-generation opportunity to make meaningful change in the country. Short of an 11th hour miracle, they’ve pissed it away because they worry too much about upsetting the other side. I’ll never vote for current Democrats because they’re batshit crazy, and I’ll never sit out election because I’m throwing a temper tantrum, but man oh man do Republicans make it hard on their voters.

I'd like the record to show that: 1) On the DC statehood question I have argued for retrocession of the current DC back to Maryland for decades 2) If we're not gonna give DC back to Maryland as we should, I have long argued restoring the Virginia side is appropriate 3) It's still appropriate today 4) This would also greatly strengthen the argument for DC statehood
Still Boneless@still_boneless

Trump should just square DC and reverse it. Easy.

@ratlpolicy The majority of federal employees are already outside the DC region. Most DoD civilian employees are at bases and depots, NASA and DOE employees are at labs around the country., etc. The cabinet secretaries want to be close to DC because that’s where their boss is.

Sounds crazy... but it actually isn't. DC retrocession was enacted by presidential proclamation and can be restored just as easily with a simple Executive Order. Retrocession also never legally came into force. Congress required both the town of Alexandria and the  county of Arlington to separately vote yes before retrocession could happen. The town voted for it. The county voted against. But the votes were illegally combined to create a false majority. Come read about the case for overturning retrocession at americancapitalproject.org

The proper response from Donald Trump to these Virginia shenanigans is to announce that the retrocession of Arlington and Alexandria to Virginia was unconstitutional and that they are and always will be part of the federal district
