@RepJayapal Why don’t you tell the whole story? CBS got a new boss and 60 minutes did too. Pelly didn’t like it and tried to tell him how it was going to be in front of the whole cast and crew. He was fired the next day. If it was me, he wouldn’t have made it through the meeting.

This is what happens when MAGA billionaires like David Ellison take over the media. And it’s why the Trump administration is so eager for Ellison to control Warner Bros. Now, CBS and 60 Minutes. Next, Warner Bros and CNN. Corrupt corporate consolidation must be stopped. wsj.com/business/media…

@PattyMurray More lies from the Oompa Loompa! Trump did not cut the ACA tax credits, you did. You voted to end those credits in the Inflation Reduction Act. You had total government control and could have made them permanent. It’s another democratic failure!

Everyone should be able to get affordable health care close to home. But after Trump and Republicans passed the largest health care cuts in American history and refused to extend the ACA tax credits, rural communities are being hit the hardest. washingtonstatestandard.com/2026/06/01/whe…

@maziehirono There was no gutting! They just took race out of it. Race shouldn’t be a part in it. The save act needs to pass. As many democrats on here fighting for illegals, makes you believe that they are their constituents. They must be voting!

There is a pattern of voter suppression going on in our country right now. Gutting the Voting Rights Act Pushing to pass the SAVE Trump Act Republicans want to disenfranchise MILLIONS of eligible voters because they know if our democracy is strong, they will lose.

@RepBeccaB How about we talk about you and all the other democrats worrying more about illegals instead of the American people? There are numerous democrats like you spewing all of this with zero evidence. It might as well be the infamous “unnamed source.”

Let’s talk about Delaney Hall in Newark, NJ. Right now, human beings are being held in terrible conditions because a private company wants to cut corners on food and medical care to maximize profits from their billion dollar government contract. DHS needs to let elected officials conduct oversight and we need to stop funding these atrocities.

The 25 richest Americans paid pay an average tax rate of 3.4 percent. A teacher pays more than that. So does a waitress, a plumber, a nurse. Here’s how they pull it off, and here’s how my bill is going to stop it. 👇

A highschool senior, a pregnant woman, and a man with Stage Three cancer. These are the people I met in Delaney Hall. When DHS tells you they are only arresting the worst of the worst, they're lying. These are everyday people kept in inhumane conditions with our tax dollars.

@Linda1ok @Rich62062 It does sound crazy but it’s a fact. I thought is might have been 50-70% because I had heard that number but then I heard 90% on the radio today and had to come home and do some research and it’s true!

A bank won’t give you a $1,000,000 mortgage on a $100,000 salary. A dealership won’t give you a $75,000 car loan on a $35,000 salary. But the federal government will give an 18 year old $250,000 in student loans for a degree that pays $40,000 a year. No credit check. No income verification. No reality check. Just sign here. We let kids who can’t rent a car make six figure financial decisions that will follow them for decades. Then we wonder why an entire generation can’t get ahead. The bank protects itself. The car dealer protects itself. The university cashes the check and calls it education.

@Linda1ok @Rich62062 So tell me where we make up $2 trillion to close the deficit. This stat kills us. We have more people working than ever before, but of all the jobs created since Covid, 88-90% went to immigrants. Really?

@Linda1ok @Rich62062 The main problem is government spending in areas where they have no business spending. That’s why we are $39 trillion in debt. People gripe about Trumps ballroom and security upgrades. That’s actually something the government should spend money on. Student loans, healthcare, NO!

@Mike4661 @Rich62062 It's a fair consumer stance, but looking at the fiscal big picture, a total collapse would have meant billions in lost tax revenues and massive spending on unemployment and pensions. Paradoxically, letting them fail might have cost taxpayers even more in the long run.

.@JamesTalarico: We have a government of, by, and for the billionaires. Those billionaires buy politicians like Ken Paxton. And then those puppets turn around and rig the rules of the economy in favor of those billionaires at our expense. Everywhere I go across the state of Texas, all of us are drowning. We can’t afford the basics—groceries, gas, insurance, utilities, prescription drugs—the things we need to survive. No matter how hard we work, no matter how much we save, those ends never seem to meet. This is more than just a political battle. This is a battle for the kind of economy that we will have going forward. That is what this fight is all about.

@GinaHinojosaTX The state gave the $750 million to take care of the problem a few years ago. They didn’t do it. This isn’t a state issue, it’s a local government issue.

The people of Corpus Christi need to know the water will be there when they turn on the tap. But Abbott's answer was to strong-arm their elected leaders into a billion-dollar deal that would have enriched his donors and handed the bill to families. The people of Corpus Christi deserve leadership. As governor, I’ll deliver it.

@Rich62062 @Linda1ok Really? Biden forgiving the loans was a middle finger to the tax payers and anyone that had paid back their loans. People have to learn to be responsible for their own actions. There are already ways you can get them forgiven. Social work, school teachers, etc.

@Mike4661 @Linda1ok This is why I was ok with Biden forgiving the government backed student loans. The gov gave them out, they shouldn’t have. And that money is better going into the economy vs back to the gov. Trade schools should also be given their importance and value

@Linda1ok Entirely why they need to reprobate them. Banks have to be fiscally responsible. The won’t lend money out for majors that won’t be able to pay it back. No more BS philosophy degrees paid for by the tax payer
