We have published our latest inspection of Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. The service is outstanding at responding to major incidents and good across most areas but needs to improve prevention activity and resource monitoring.

Any other veterans have a nightmare as a civilian and just think I wish I was back out there with the lads. So much easier believe it or not.

We are remembering the 31 people who lost their lives in a fire at Kings Cross station 38 years ago, including Station Officer Colin Townsley. Our thoughts remain firmly with their loved ones.
