Sabers lose to Middle TN Christian 3-0 to wrap up the Nashville trip. Wil Karduck went 6IP and 1ER Kaufmann, Bates, Ruffatto, Holland with hits at the beautiful David Price field. Sabers finish the trip 0-4 but got some great game experience against top competition. @STMoreAD

High school baseball players that want to play college baseball, the best metric you can have is a good transcript. It gets you into school and buys you time. You can keep getting stronger, throwing harder, running faster. You can be a late bloomer. You can’t ever go back and change your high school gpa. Take care of that and doors will continue to open.

Are Duke just opposing free throw luck merchants?

@Mikersnow Computers say Illinois is really good easy 2 seed. At one point of season eye test said it also. Last few weeks eye test says 4 or 5 seed.

I’m confused why Illinois is moving up after losing 4 of 6.

@Jon_Kidd The reading is always awful. Some are painful to listen.

The IHSA needs a check box asking if you can read before you view their pre-season slide shows. If you can read, then you don't have to wait 3 minutes on each slide to have the presentation read to you.

Players Do yourself a favor. Stop hanging around the so called cool guys that think they are beating the system around every corner. Big goals require big sacrifice. You're gonna have to skip the immature stuff that the majority of kids think is cool.

Gregg Popovich said, “It’s your job to make me play you.” Playing time is earned. A victim mindset says…I didn’t play because coach doesn’t like me. A winning mindset says…I didn’t play because I haven’t earned it yet. Don’t be a victim.

PLAYERS: If you're the most talented player on your team, you should also be the HARDEST WORKER on the team. Lead by example. Be the standard. Your natural talent might not be transferable to your teammates but your energy, enthusiasm, and effort can definitely rub off on them.
