Yesterday I spent more time helping patients figure out how to pay for their medications than discussing their actual medical concerns. This is how the souls of physicians die. Not all at once, but one paper cut at a time.

The perversion of DST should stop. The fact we have a 20 page medical documentation tipsheet for handling this event 2x/y in the EMR is redflag enough. Though it's typically been a safely-endured stress test in healthcare & transport, it's a gamble best not taken if not needed.

Entirely wrong. Voting is like jury duty, paying taxes, answering the census: one of the very few things we ask of citizens in this country. You’re not rewarding anything. Imagine being the richest man in the world, and your passion project is to stop providing aid to poor, desperate people.

Imagine for a moment what it would be like to have all the money in the world. Being able to buy anything you want, eat what you want, spend your time how you'd like, travel wherever you'd like to go, and live anywhere on earth. Think of what it must be like to spend millions of dollars a day and not even think about it. Money you'll never spend and that can't be taken with you when you dìe. Now consider how many ways in which the world's richest man could make people's lives better. Instead of buying another yacht, mansion, or rocket, he could build housing for families, hospitals for the sick, or nursing homes for the elderly. He wouldn't even feel it. If he really cared in the slightest and made the smallest amount of effort, he could do amazing things in this country. But instead, he spends his weekend figuring out ways to mock the world's most vulnerable people while deciding whether or not they deserve food and healthcare. This is no longer about left vs. right, Democrats vs. Republicans or liberals vs. conservatives. This is the ultra rich vs. everyone else, cruel vs. humane, and good vs. evil. This isn't funny and it isn't ok. The world deserves better ❤🤍💙 .
