To resolve the Daylight dilemma, Congress needs to survey based on zip code. Then use the local preferences to set time zone boundaries. Here’s why this makes sense:

Dear Gen X, I’ve been watching 80s movies and I just need to know…WHERE WERE YOUR PARENTS?? Every child was just wandering the earth unsupervised like a raccoon with house keys. Riding bikes across town at midnight, fighting ghosts, investigating murders, befriending cryptids, hacking government computers for funsies… And the parents were ALWAYS “out of town” or “working late” while the only adult-adjacent supervision was some random 16-year-old who got dragged into the chaos. No cell phones. No helmets. No adult supervision. Just vibes, life lessons, and several near-death experiences. You all weren’t “raised.” You were lightly monitored feral creatures with a bike and unresolved trauma. I’m genuinely shocked there are enough of you left to populate an entire generation.

@unseen1_unseen Manufacturers are telling people to change their oil only after 15k to 20k miles so new car buyers don’t have to change the oil before their next purchase. The second hand buyers have to deal with the resulting mechanical issues.

You know you really don't have to change your oil every 3000 miles right? That that is just a marketing ploy to get you to change your oil more often than needed. While it might have been true decades ago, it is no longer true for most newer models. If you look in most manuals many car makers today rec 5,000 miles to 10,000 or longer due to synthetic oil and modern engines. Not sure when to change your oil? check out your manufacturer recommendations. With the current shortage of some oil blends its important to know you can probably wait to change your oil until the supply lines are back to normal. Stop panicking.
