🙄The fringe idea that we all have a 'gender identity' that may or may not match our biological sex is the whole point of this discussion. Trans activists act as though the existence of 'gender identity' is a settled, self-evident point, when to the vast majority of the world it's unevidenced, quasi-religious, pseudoscientific nonsense, which has been imposed top down on our society with serious consequences for vulnerable women and troubled youth in particular.
Meaningful discussion about competing needs and rights cannot happen inside an elitist ideological bubble where everyone is forced to adopt gender ideology's approved jargon, accept its self-contradicting slogans as fact and pretend fact-light assertions and feeble sophistry are critical thinking.
You tell us to 'educate' ourselves, by which you mean, 'adopt our beliefs unquestioningly,' but at this point, most of us know your arguments off by heart. These include, but are not limited to: feelings trump facts and unless we agree we're 'erasing people from existence'; women and girls aren't definable entities, so why should they be entitled to their own sports and single-sex spaces; clownfish and people with DSDs mean sex is 'on a spectrum' and 'woman' is a set of stereotypes associated with the female sex class, so it doesn't matter if you've got a penis, if you identify with those stereotypes you're 'valid'.
The reason we haven't been won over by these talking points and remain so tragically 'uneducated' isn't that we've failed to grasp the sophistication of your world view. It's that we think you're talking unadulterated bullshit and making fools of yourselves.

Has Matthew never loved something, and at the same time despaired at what was happening to it, how the qualities he first loved were being eroded, neglected, discarded entirely?
If he had a child that was descending into addiction, bad company or self destructive behaviour of any kind, would it not be love that drove the urgency of his anguish?

This is why I also feel “Hope not Hate” is such a dubious coinage. Hate, such as it is, is almost always aroused when one sees a threat to something one loves. And it should drive corrective responses better than mere “hope”.

The details have been released about a 14 year old who was shot and died in Woolwich yesterday.
His name is Eghosa Ogbebor.
Three boys have been arrested for the crime - a 14, a 16 and an 18 year old.
The police released this photo. But this is the actual Ogbebor on video.
What is going on in London? Gang culture…violence, guns, rapes, theft.

@elonmusk When I first visited RSA in 1994, the economy was the strongest on the continent & you got about 4 rand to the pound. After the fall of apartheid, the racist black government took over from the separatist white one. Within 2 years, the economy was in freefall and the ER was 11:1.

London Green Party candidate Tope Olawoyin has quit in disgrace after claiming the arson attack that torched four Jewish Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green was an "inside job" by Jews themselves.
She posted on X: “I can say with almost absolute certainty the men arrested are white… probably even Jewish.”
This came after police arrested five suspects, including a 17-year-old British-Pakistani, and treated the blaze as an antisemitic hate crime.
Olawoyin had introduced Green leader Zack Polanski on stage and was running in Havering on May 7.
Green Party forced to accept her resignation and issue damage-control statements.

@Plaid_Cymru came to our house with leaflets. A woman asked me if we would vote for Plaid.
I said, no, because you don't protect women and children's rights.
She said, Plaid believes in equality.
I replied that I didn't, I want discrimination, women only spaces where men in frocks are not allowed. According to the law.
She wanted examples, Supreme Court ruling FWS -v- Scottish Ministers, she'd never heard of it. 'Trans-ing' children is wrong, she wasn't sure. Plaid's own web-site about 'trans' rights. She didn't know there was one.
Hopeless, it's hopeless.
Don't vote for Plaid.
