Today, a Department of State charter flight of American citizens departed the Middle East in route to the United States, as part of our ongoing efforts to assist Americans return home. Additional flights will be surged across the region and American citizens in UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Israel interested in the Department's charter flight or ground transportation options, should complete the Crisis Intake Form at mytravel.state.gov/s/crisis-intake or contact the State Department's 24/7 Task Force at +1-202-501-4444.

Since February 28, over 17,500 American citizens have returned to the United States from the Middle East — with over 8,500 American citizens returning to the U.S. yesterday alone. Many more Americans have left the Middle East to other countries in Europe and Asia, and others have safely departed the Middle East but are still in transit back to the U.S. Through the State Department 24/7 Task Force, we have assisted nearly 6,500 Americans abroad, including offering security guidance and travel assistance. The U.S. State Department will continue to actively assist any American citizen abroad, who wishes to depart the Middle East, to do so.

Here's the message I want to deliver Americans who are in the Middle East and in need of assistance.... We need to know where you are. We need to have contact information for Americans that need assistance.
