You can drive the car off a cliff like Thelma and Louise if you want also. It’s up to Tesla to put reasonable safety stops for mishandling which they do. But at the end of the day someone can do whatever they want and they are responsible. Like your meds. Use only as directed. People should listen.

A Tesla driver was caught appearing to doze off or possibly sleeping while using FSD. It’s a good reminder that even with amazing technology, we still need to stay alert and engaged. I think Tesla FSD v14.3.6 is a regression from previous .3 branches This version in particular has been incredibly hesitant, jerky, and indecisive at times. There’s actually been two drives that I have decided to not used FSD for the remainder of the trip. These were local trips to the store or to run errands nearby. Things I’ve noticed: ✅ More inaccuracy turning into multi-lane stretches of road than any version I can remember. I’ve had 3 instances of FSD turning into an area with two or more lanes and not selecting a lane. Instead, it will drive on the line and the wheel will jerk back and forth until it decides on a lane. ✅ If this is SUPERVISED FSD, the car should not disobey the driver’s manual turn signals. Trying to direct the car into the correct lane at times, it will turn off and disregard my manual signal. If it does switch lanes, it will almost immediately switch back ✅ No issues with bucking, bird braking, or stabbing but this version seems less decisive when taking turns from a stop. It’s just not as confident as past iterations with this

The DMS (driver monitoring system) responds differently depending on which speed profile you’re using on v14 Lite. Try changing to Chill. It almost doesn’t care at all that you look away or use your phone. 😂

@Deandawiz I love everyone here…. But it’s come to a point where I need to make my own decisions in any new release. The wish washyness becomes annoying and I’m not blaming anyone but it’s what I have to do. I usually have minimal issues and rarely what I see multiple complaints about.

I honestly think someone inside Tesla is costing them progress. I swear if they hired me to test and oversee the new models and be HONEST with them about the model, they’d make progress faster. Tesla has too many yes-men inside and too many yes-men influencers around it. It’s costing them progress.

I had my first longer drive on 14.3.6 today and it felt jerkier than any of the 1,000 miles I had with 14.3.5. Some lane wobble possibly from shadows, and some indecision at unprotected turns. Nothing major, but 14.3.5 was just 14.2 level smooth for me. Will see if this stays true

I might be (temporarily) OK with a little shadow dancing if that were the early price for reduced pothole strikes. Regardless, I've seen no signs of 14.3.6 here, yet. I wonder if Tesla delays updates if the target vehicle's WiFi is crap -- that would explain why it sometimes takes extra days or weeks for me to see the updates, though more likely it is due to my car's specific mix of hardware and firmware. (June 2023 Austin HW4 Model Y LR AWD DM).

@DigitalDaisyX I went through horrible storms in northern Florida the other day. With FSD there is no stress. There are still idiots out there that don’t have their lights on during a storm. My car sees them when I can’t.
