Many ask why I don't talk about record lows in Phoenix. Well... because they rarely happen. Phoenix hasn't set one since 2008. Only two in roughly the last 40 years: Feb. 28, 1985 - 28° Aug. 28, 2008 - 64°

USNS Mercy has now arrived in Portland, Oregon, per AIS—confirming its West Coast transit was for a planned yard period, not a Greenland deployment. The 1,000-bed hospital ship is expected to enter a multi-month overhaul, taking it out of service. gcaptain.com/trumps-greenla…

🚨Crews at risk in the Gulf🚨 Just heard from a crewmember on one of the 3,200 ships stuck in the Persian Gulf. A ship called the local port authority requested permission to dock as they had run out of water. They were denied permission! Multiple ships are in the same condition, with stores, food and fuel running low. Ports are overwhelmed and security is such that they are refusing permission for ships to dock. Crews cannot get off and reliefs cannot fly in. What is being done to address this matter @POTUS @SecWar @SecDuffy @DOTMARAD @IMOSecGen @IMOHQ.

The Noon Slip **24 hrs after Jones Act Waiver announced: —Brent +$6 —WTI +$6 —Global benchmark rates on oil tanker routes like TD3C (VLCC) and TD20 (Suezmax) surged 10–25% in just 24 hours, driving tanker pool earnings sharply higher. They’re killing it $$. —Gasoline +4¢ —Jones Act rates: Flat Waiver didn’t move gasoline prices down—not even ¼¢/gal. @AMPmaritime @AWOAdvocacy @mercoglianos @OffshoreAaron

.@SecScottBessent: In the coming days, we may unsanction the Iranian oil that's on the water. It's about 140 million barrels, so depending how you count it, that's 10 days to 2 weeks of supply, that the Iranians had been pushing out, that would have all gone to China. In essence, we'd be using the Iranian barrels against the Iranians to keep the price down for the next 10 or 14 days, as we continue this campaign. So, we have lots of levers.

Trump just confirmed what I said… Israel attacked without Trump’s approval. Absolutely reckless. They are escalating and dragging us in at the expense of our Gulf allies.

Israel just struck South Pars in Iran, the largest natural gas field in the world… We previously told Israel not to target it. Iran is now going to respond by hitting energy facilities in the Gulf States, further alienating our allies.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Qatar
Qatar Declares Iranian Embassy Military, Security Attaches "Persona Non Grata" Doha | March 18, 2026 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered an official note to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State, stating that Qatar considers both the military attache and the security attache at the embassy, in addition to the staff of the two attache offices "persona non grata", and requests that they leave the country within a maximum period of (24) hours. This came during a meeting held Wednesday between HE Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Yousif Fakhro, and HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State Ali Salehabadi. The ministry explained that this decision comes in response to repeated Iranian targeting and the blatant aggression against the State of Qatar, which violated its sovereignty and security, in a flagrant breach of the principles of international law, United Nations Security Council Resolution No. (2817), and the principles of good neighborliness. The ministry stressed that the continuation of this hostile approach by the Iranian side will be met with additional measures by the State of Qatar, in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, security, and national interests. The ministry affirmed that the State of Qatar reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security, in accordance with the provisions of international law. #MOFAQatar

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Qatar
Statement | Qatar Condemns, Denounces Blatant Iranian Attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City Doha | March 18, 2026 The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting Ras Laffan Industrial City, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility. It describes the attack as a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of state sovereignty, and a direct threat to its national security and regional stability. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that despite Qatar's policy of distancing itself from this war since its outset and its commitment to avoiding any escalation, the Iranian side continues to target it and neighboring countries in an irresponsible approach that undermines regional security and threatens international peace. The ministry stresses that Qatar has repeatedly called for the need to refrain from targeting civilian and energy facilities, including within the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in order to preserve the resources of the region's peoples and safeguard international peace and security. However, the Iranian side continues its escalatory policies that are pushing the region toward the brink and drawing countries not party to this crisis into the conflict zone. The ministry affirms that this attack constitutes a violation of UN Security Council Resolution No. (2817), renewing its call on the Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security and to take the necessary measures to stop these serious violations and deter their perpetrators. The ministry also reiterates that the State of Qatar reserves its right to respond in accordance with Article (51) of the United Nations Charter and the right to self-defense as guaranteed by international law, stressing that it will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens and residents. #MOFAQatar
