Agreed. I sent the wrong link. To be fair though, there is 0 science in the Atheist’s argument either. They just say they don’t believe in God because they have no scientific proof. They have no science to prove otherwise. They have no scientific proof of how nothing turned into something, how life started, etc

The whole thread is good, but this last part is most important. Arca has a liquid token fund and we think less than 20 tokens are even part of the investable universe (and we only actually own 5-10). None of the token issuers or exchanges or VCs ever ask what it is a liquid fund wants to see to make a token investable. They don’t care. They just want to max extract, and there are no investment banks or independent market makers to keep them honest. The exchanges are the worst culprits. An “everything exchange” doesn’t work when you kill all of your customers with terrible investment products, and try to sell the whole industry as one giant “macro trade”. Only way to move forward is to focus on the 10-20 tokens that are investable, ignore the rest, and require tokens to be built properly before giving them liquidity and visibility.
Mippo 🟪@MikeIppolito_

I am begging the industry to wake up and focus on this. Investors - insist on transparency, diclosures, and standardized data. Exchanges - onboard transparency metrics, penalize tokens that don't comply. Protocol founders - speak to your investors, make disclosures, tell your stories, and sell your token (no it's not scammy to do, this isn't 2021). If we don't fix this and soon, the industry as we know it will cease to exist.

The takeaway from your video (well done 👏) is that the laws need to change. For the laws to change, realistically, the lawmakers need to change. (Instead, the city went the other way with Mamdani.) But let’s be optimistic and assume a pendulum swing. What exactly needs to happen for the situation to materially improve?

Everyone’s talking about a $12B budget gap but let me show you why the law capping renovations at $50,000 doesn’t work today. There’s some math here, stay with me.

@theurbaneist @MelatKirosCO @boulderfish Your suggestion will merely complicate the tax code even more, making it even more difficult for the average American to afford the necessary expertise to avoid excessive taxation.

It’s simple, either tax unrealized gains (above $100 million) or tax the securities-backed loans. The rich have gotten away with paying lower tax rates than everyday working Americans because of ridiculous loopholes like these. It’s time for them to pay their fair share too.
Alexis Ohanian 🗽@alexisohanian

We're absolutely going to have to figure out how our society adapts to a rapidly increasing wealth gap, it'll be required to preserve our republic, but the answer is definitely not taxing unrealized gains.

This moment. Every time. Bases loaded. Down 2. Best hitter at the plate. 2 outs in the ninth. Game 7 at home for a ticket to the WS. Strike out looking. Over. The Knicks collapse last May was rough and a close second, but the 2025 Knicks were not nearly as good as the 2006 Mets. The expectations make it the worst moment for me. Ugh. 😩

It was an honor to speak at the conference. If you're a lender thinking about how alternative collateral could unlock growth, or you're building at this intersection, DM me. And thanks again to Fintech NerdCon and our moderator Julie VerHage-Greenberg for the platform to share the Vault vision.

#3: Selling to banks vs. fintechs is completely different. Different buying journeys, risk appetites, timelines, and stakeholders. You can't run the same playbook for both.

Most lenders know what customers earn and spend. But what customers own should matter more than it currently does. At the inaugural @FintechNerdCon, I joined a panel with Rhett Roberts from @loanprosoftware and @MishaEsipov from @nova_credit to trade notes about this concept and where lending is headed in 2026. Three things that stood out from our panel:

Sam Harris is such a despicable liar and coward. "There is no party for political assassination," yet somehow the ACLU employee who lives across the street from TPUSA was playing "Bella Ciao" and "Another One Bites the Dust" to mock people praying outside our HQ. There is no party for political assassinations, yet I received messages from people I personally knew gloating about Charlie's death. There is no party for political assassinations on the left, yet somehow Charlie is the one who is dead. A left-wing lunatic murdered Charlie, and the left celebrated it, justified it, ridiculed those who mourned it, and then hacks like Sam Harris come along and denied it happened.
FischerKing@FischerKing64

Sam Harris is the gift that keeps on giving. Here he is talking about the murder of Charlie Kirk - and he says there is no party on the left that supports this. Then he blames Trump and Elon for dousing the ground with gasoline to create circumstances where this could happen:

He’d have my vote. At the very least, the @Mets should retire #45. They could do a dual ceremony for Tug as well, although I’m fine with it just being John Franco Day. Or retire #31 again. The Yankees have #8 retired twice, so not unheard of. And for your dad (and only your dad), I bet @mikepiazza31 wouldn’t object.

Wouldn’t usually post something like this because I like to be objective but gonna make a HOF case for my dad 🙂: - 424 saves, 7th all time on the saves list (2nd all time at the time of retirement) - 1st all time saves leader amongst lefties - Career ERA: 2.89 (across 21 seasons, 1245 IP) - 23.5 WAR - 8 seasons with 30+ saves - 3 time NL saves leader - 4 time All-Star - NL record for most pitching appearances - 1.88 ERA in the postseason, 10 strikeouts, 1 save, and 2-0 record (only 15 appearances) Feel free to disagree if you wish, just putting it out there 🙂‍↕️

How did NYC end up with Mamdani? - The largest employer is the government (13% of all jobs), and the #1 private sector job is non-profit work - 40% of adults are not employed - 53% of adults receive at least one form of public assistance - 38% of residents are foreign-born - 25% of residents are not proficient in English, and 50% do not use English as their primary language

@AlyssaRose This is not even in the same universe as 2006. It def stings. I see the 2007 parallels, but 2006 is its own special ring of hell. In a league of its own.

Now that I’m home and it’s all sinking in, I think this is the most heartbroken I’ve ever been after a season. Worse than 06. Worse than 07. The fact that Pete might be gone. Best team in the League for almost 3 months and then it’s just… over? This wasn’t supposed to happen.
