@AlexBerenson Iran has won because it has outlasted Trump. That is often the key element of any negotiation. Iran has won the "Art of the Deal." Sad.

This is an absolute strategic disaster. We have effectively given Iran control of what is arguably the most important waterway in the world and we have no way to get it back. Escalation would be very risky. But even if it COULD work, Trump lacks the political capital to put significant numbers of American sailors or troops at risk because he started the war without even informing Congress, much less asking for authorization. It is too late to ask, the Republicans won't vote for it and the Democrats surely won't. Iran fully grasps this dynamic. Trump's escalation threats made matters worse, not better, because they started a clock that Iran ran out. Under the circumstances, we would have been better off just continuing our limited attacks, trying to find an insurgency worth funding, and hoping the Israelis could kill enough mid-level Iranian commanders. But as oil continued to rise, Trump panicked. Now we have a ceasefire that isn't really a ceasefire. Iran gave up nothing.

At this point, it seems to becoming clearer that Iran has defeated Trump and won the war. The regime survived and it's control over Hormuz greatly strengthened. Now they have gotten Trump to lean on the Israelis about Lebanon. Those are the whole ballgame to the Iranians.

@gc22gc I couldn't' care less if Iran builds a nuclear bomb. If a terrorist state like Israel or Pakistan has the bomb, why not Iran? In many ways, Iran is a more civilized society than the USA.

BANNON: Even if Iran were a couple years from a nuclear weapon, that’s one one-hundredth of the threat to this nation. The real danger is out-of-control AI, a weapon 100x more lethal with no control. We’re focused on Tehran instead of the existential threat here at home.

Oregon has gone full-blown COMMUNISM. We've NEVER seen anything like this. On a quiet stretch of 170 acres in Eagle Point, Oregon, a defiant standoff over something as simple as rain turned into a legal storm. In Oregon, all water is considered publicly owned... even the rain that falls on your roof and the snow that melts into your soil. But Gary Harrington wasn’t willing to accept that. Determined to take control of the water landing on his own land, he constructed three reservoirs to capture rainwater and snowmelt, intending to use it for himself and as a safeguard against wildfires. The state intervened, ordering him to drain the reservoirs. Harrington refused. What followed was swift and severe: 30 days behind bars, nine misdemeanor convictions, and a $1,500 fine. Harrington’s stance was simple: it’s rain that fell on my land. Oregon’s position was just as clear: all water belongs to the public. In the end, the law sided with the state — and Oregon won. This is beyond crazy. REPOST this absolutely everywhere. #thinblueline #Lawenforcement

@JackPosobiec Still with the Israel-blaming, Jack? Still reading off the 1935 teleprompter? The cease-fire was a bad idea to begin with because it leaves the crazy terrorist regime in place.

I entered the workforce in at 18 in 1972. At the time, most workplaces were primarily male or female, depending on the nature of the work. That was true up through maybe the early to middle 80s. When I went to work for General Motors as an engineer in the mid-80s. 95% of engineers were male. There were no PCs. We had secretaries, one for every 8 engineers or so. All of the secretaries were female (the secretaries were revered and feared by the engineers - they knew everything and everyone). Ok, I'm telling you this to paint a picture. I Was There during the period when traditionally male workplaces were invaded by women. It changed them beyond all recognition. I watched it happen. And most of it isn't even the "feminization" which is decried today, although that is indeed huge. No, the biggest part is that men behave very differently, both as individuals and with each other, when there are women around. Women don't realize this because it's impossible for them to: they've never been around guys when there are no women around. Women think they're just like boys except for some plumbing, and oppression. Take away the oppression and they're just like boys. No, ladies. "Take away the oppression" and you still won't be men, and worse, your men won't be men either. Turn yourself into men, take on male lifestyles, and you'll be miserable, and wasted. This is the situation you find yourself in today. The solution is for men and women to mostly return to their traditional roles. Unsurprisingly, because that's what we're evolved for. That's why the traditional roles are traditional. Duh.

The guy just landed a spacecraft on a comet — one of the most impressive scientific achievements in years. His reward? A public struggle session because his bowling shirt had scantily clad women on it. Helen Andrews points out the quiet cost of institutional feminization: HR departments now hunt down any maverick personality and stamp it out. We’re losing innovators we’ll never even know about, all because someone focused on the shirt instead of the comet. This is how wokeness actually works. Have you seen real excellence get punished for something trivial like this?

Her feelings are completely understandable and anyone who has not gone through the unimaginable trial she has faced cannot judge her. As a devoted Christian, I know that Christians face trials that seem unbearable at the time. She deserves our compassion, understanding, and love. Jesus will heal her wounds.

Savannah Guthrie regretfully says in this new video released for Easter, following her mom Nancy’s disappearance, she feels “deep disappointment with God.” She says, “I have questioned if Jesus really ever experienced this particular wound that I feel… I have stumbled upon a feeling that Jesus did not know.” God acts with purpose in all things. What Savannah is experiencing is part of a divine plan. She is being tested. As for her questioning of Jesus Christ, many argue that he demonstrated omniscience. Savannah is displaying doubt when she needs to be embracing faith. Pray that she soon finds her faith and also sees her mom again soon. (TMZ on web)

@Real_EdDiehl Strongest argument: If they can shift election dates, why couldn't they make it 2028 or 2030? If the Oregon courts allow this, it's open season on referendums and all initiatives.

🚨 BREAKING: Rep. Ed Diehl Files Lawsuit Seeking Injunction to Block SB1599 - Joins Co-Petitioners in Court Challenge to Preserve November Referendum Today I joined Senate Minority Leader Bruce Starr, Jason Williams, and many other plaintiffs from different political backgrounds across the state, in filing a lawsuit seeking an injunction against SB 1599. This bill unlawfully moves our certified referendum on the 2025 transportation tax hikes from the November 2026 general election to the May primary—after over 250,000 signatures were gathered and verified in just 38 days. We contend this mid-process change violates Oregon’s Constitution, referendum protections, due process, and fair election principles. It disrespects the grassroots effort of thousands of Oregonians who deserve their full voice in November. This action defends the integrity of our democratic process. Updates to follow as the case proceeds. The people deserve their full voice in November, no suppression, no after-the-fact maneuvers.

Oregon Democrats disregard the Constitutional referendum process and vote to move the transportation tax to the May ballot. Why, because it is politically inconvenient in November, and NO Dem wants to be on the ballot next to it in the general election. share.google/ultAVrUrcSSLp7…

As yet another preemptive war is begun in the Middle East, John Quincy Adam’s words of wisdom still ring true: “Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.” Like most Americans I have sympathy for the plight of the Iranian people and all subjected people around the globe, from North Korea to Tibet. But as Adam’s wrote, America:  “goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.” The Constitution conferred the power to declare or initiate war to Congress for a reason, to make war less likely.   Madison wrote that “the Executive Branch is the branch most prone to war, therefore, the Constitution, with studied care, delegated the war power to the legislature.” As with all war, my first and purest instinct is wish Americans soldiers safety and success in their mission.   But my oath of office is to the Constitution, so with studied care, I must oppose another Presidential war.
