Donald Trump Jr.'s venture capital firm 1789 Capital grew from $200 million to $3.5 billion in assets in roughly a year — a 17x jump. The firm backs AI, defense tech, and real estate under an "America First, anti-ESG" brand. Portfolio companies have landed $735 million+ in federal contracts since Trump took office, including a $620 million Pentagon loan. Source: FT

CEO of the Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Lindsey Hooper, claims that water, soil, and oxygen should not be infinitely accessible. She proposes classifying them as assets and placing them on a global balance sheet. “So, the stories about having to pay for a breath of air will soon no longer be gloomy jokes, but a very real prospect.”

Iran's closing of the Strait of Hormuz isn't a weapon pointed at Washington or Tel Aviv. It's a gun aimed at Tehran's own economic head, and at every "friendly" country that actually keeps the Iranian economy breathing. It's an act of self-destruction directed at Iran's own economy, and a declaration of economic war against its friends. The two countries Iran is supposedly threatening have virtually no Hormuz dependency. Meanwhile, ~90% of Iran's own oil exports pass through the Strait. Oil constitutes 40%+ of Iran's total export revenue. Iran needs oil above $163/barrel just to balance its budget, the highest fiscal breakeven of any Middle Eastern exporter. China, Iran's #1 trading partner and buyer of ~90% of its exported oil, receives 37.7% of ALL Hormuz crude flows. Half of China's entire oil import supply runs through this strait. Qatar, not Iran's enemy, produces ~20% of global LNG, almost all of it transiting Hormuz. QatarEnergy has already declared force majeure. Iraq and Kuwait, with NO bypass routes, are hemorrhaging oil revenues. UAE and Oman, both critical trade and diplomatic partners for Iran, are severely disrupted. And it gets worse for Iran itself. Virtually ALL of Iran's corn imports (its primary feed grain) arrive through Persian Gulf ports. Iran imports ~30% of its wheat. 80–90% of pharmaceutical raw materials are imported. Food inflation is already exploding inside Iran.

💔 THIS WAS 100% PREVENTABLE. 💔 A 17-month-old baby boy, Elijah Manley, is dead because a driver decided to smoke marijuana, reach for his phone, and plow his box truck into a family on I-25. Now, that driver just took a plea deal that might let him serve time in a "community corrections" program instead of a real state prison. This is the direct result of the toxic climate Democrats have created in Colorado. Their soft-on-crime, permissive policies have normalized substance abuse to the point where people feel perfectly safe getting high and driving, putting every single one of our families at risk on the road. To make matters worse, the Colorado State Patrol has refused to release the driver’s immigration status. Why the secrecy? The public deserves full transparency, not government cover-ups. Elijah should still be here today. Colorado leadership has failed its citizens, and their political climate is costing innocent lives. #Colorado #PublicSafety #HoldThemAccountable #JusticeForElijah denverpost.com/2026/05/18/eli…

The iconic Kars4Kids jingle is coming off the air in California after a judge ruled the charity’s ads misled donors about where their money was actually going. The judge said the Kars4Kids ads led people to believe they would be helping local, needy children with their donations, but according to the ruling “children, especially needy or underprivileged children, are not the recipients of the proceeds of the donations.” In reality, donations have been going to help fund a New Jersey-based Orthodox Jewish outreach program, which includes organizing annual trips to Israel for 17-year-olds and 18-year-olds.

🚨 Mark Cuban endorsed Kamala Harris in October 2024.. campaigned for her.. appeared on her trail.. was one of her most visible surrogates.. 18 months later he's standing at the White House next to Trump.. laughing on camera.. and here's the consequence math nobody is running.. Cuban built Cost Plus Drugs in 2022 to cut out the middlemen on generic prices.. Trump built TrumpRX to do the same thing for uninsured Americans.. the two platforms just merged into the same stage.. that means every uninsured family paying full price for fertility drugs or GLP-1s just got access to both distribution networks at once.. not because Cuban changed his politics.. because Trump didn't care that he hadn't.. the reporter tried to make it awkward.. "he endorsed Kamala Harris back in 2024".. Trump: "Well, he made a mistake!" Cuban: 🤣🤣🤣 think about what that means.. the fastest way to lower your drug bill wasn't a Senate vote.. it was two guys who disagreed on everything except the one thing that matters to your pharmacy receipt.. Trump has done this before.. First Step Act.. Abraham Accords.. every room where a former opponent showed up willing to deal.. the grudge was never the point.. the deal was.. and your prescription just got cheaper because of it. I'll share more details shortly so turn on notifications, this is VERY important.

This is what is going on in the Colorado Election Saga and Jena should be very nervous. The DOJ has the redacted Colorado voter rolls plus the ERIC data from other states that walked away. The data wizards at the DOJ have enough data to extrapolate duplicate records in the Colorado Records. Now it’s full-on cat and mouse: Harmeet Dhillon and the DOJ sued Jena Griswold in United States v. Griswold, Case No. 1:25-cv-03967-PAB on December 11, 2025, to force over the full statewide rolls. She’s fighting it hard, and the case is still grinding through motions with no hearing date set yet. Everybody who matters already knows what’s in those files. They’re guilty as sin. So whats taking the courts so long? Everyone is waiting on the courts to rule before they make their next move. It’s going to be a very interesting summer in Colorado Politics….. #copolitics #freetinapeters

Give A Shit About Nature

Farmers have figured out that the cheapest pesticide is a strip of flowers. When you plant wildflowers through a crop field, not just around the edge but in strips running through the middle, you get ladybugs, lacewings, hoverflies, and parasitic wasps living in the field instead of visiting it. They eat the aphids, the caterpillars, and the mites for free, all summer long. In controlled trials, fields with tailored flower strips had leaf-beetle numbers 40 to 50% lower and crop damage cut by around 60%, enough to drop below the threshold where spraying was even considered worth it. The flowers attract a standing army to our fields. We spent decades engineering chemicals to kill the insects eating the crop, when the insects that eat those insects would have worked for the price of seed.

When ant hills start cropping up all over the yard, the knee-jerk reaction for many is to sprint to the hardware store for a jug of heavy-duty, synthetic pesticide. But before flooding the lawn with harsh chemicals that can affect pets, helpful pollinators, and the local soil, it pays to look inside the kitchen pantry. A remarkably effective, non-toxic hack for managing an ant problem requires nothing more than mixing equal parts baking soda and powdered sugar. Here is exactly how it works and why it is so effective: The Science Behind the Secret The Bait: Ants have a massive sweet tooth, but they are incredibly smart foragers. They will easily sniff out and avoid pure baking soda. However, when it is meticulously mixed with finely ground powdered sugar (confectioners' sugar), they cannot separate the two. The sweetness masks the deterrent, drawing them in. The Mechanism: Baking soda is highly alkaline. When ants consume it, it reacts with the acidic fluids in their digestive systems. Because ants cannot expel internal gas the way mammals can, the sudden chemical reaction is fatal to them. The Delivery: Foragers won't just eat it on the spot; they will carry this sweet, lethal mixture back to the heart of the colony, effectively taking care of the root of the problem. How to Apply It Simply blend a 50/50 mix of the two ingredients in a container and shake well. Sprinkle it directly around the perimeter of active mounds or along known ant trails. Other All-Natural Alternatives If baking soda isn’t on hand, a few other household staples can disrupt pest patterns naturally: White Vinegar: Spraying a simple solution of vinegar and water along entry points dissolves the scent trails ants use to navigate, leaving them completely disoriented. Diatomaceous Earth (Food Grade): A completely natural powder made from fossilized algae. It is harmless to humans and pets but breaks down the exoskeletons of crawling insects on contact. Essential Oils: Peppermint, tea tree, and citrus oils act as powerful natural repellents. A few drops near windows and doors keep unwanted visitors at bay. Relying on massive chemical interventions isn't always necessary to keep a property balanced. Sometimes, the safest, cheapest, and most elegant solutions are already sitting right next to the baking supplies.
