@AlanKohler That is possible, but we'd all need to get massive pay rises and be prepared to accept a high rate of inflation for a while

Everybody wants housing to be more affordable as long as houses don’t get less expensive
Daniel Best - Author@20thCenturyDan

@Peter_Fitz @annaclarity1 I think it was Alan Kohler who said last week, something along the lines of, ‘people want housing affordability but not at the expense of lower prices’. I’m sure, if it was @AlanKohler, he could give the exact quote. It’s quite accurate.

@joininthechorus And if you really needed to for some bizarre reason, you could take a bus from one to the other by changing at Southern Cross.

@glengyron You can take the bus from Tullamarine to Southern Cross station, and then the bus from Southern Cross station to Avalon. Why would there be a direct bus for the 4 people a month who'd need to use it?

We have just moved a no confidence motion in Jacinta Allan - it’s time for her to be sacked. Our team said to Ben Carroll across the table that if he votes for it, it’s his pathway to be Premier. His response? “I’m in the wrong faction.”

@SnoogThe The point is, that IS most immigrants. The lie that One Nation perpetuates is that this is an exception not the norm.

JMO People calling Pauline Hanson out about the Socceroos having immigrants have completely missed their target I’d suggest that these are exactly the type of immigrants, ON would embrace They assimilate into the community, join sporting organisations etc & show pride in 🇦🇺

@thebigjohnnyd I once told Graham Linehan that he should seriously consider taking up masturbation as a hobby, and he immediately blocked me I'm not sure if the instant block was because he was so anxious to get stuck into his new hobby - but I can only hope

Henry Nowak died the same way a civilization dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. His murder is as tragic as it is enraging. He should still be alive today, and he would be if the last few generations of European elites had stood their ground against the politics of self-hatred and the mass invasion of migrants, many of whom despise the West and the people who love it. Henry was far from the first to so needlessly lose his life, and I fear he won’t be the last. Each time a life like his is lost, the proper response—the only response—is righteous anger. One of the most important things the Trump administration has proven to the world is that stopping the flow of mass migration and defending national sovereignty is a matter of political will and leadership. Anything else is an excuse. It is because we love the West that we want to preserve it. We love our civilization. We love our country. We love our children. And nobody—nobody—should ever die the way that Henry Nowak died. May God comfort those who loved him, and may God rest his soul.
Visegrád 24@visegrad24

In his final moments, Henry Nowak told police officers nine times “I can’t breathe” and four times that he had been stabbed. In response police officer dragged him across the gravel, handcuffed and read him his rights. It was the last thing Henry heard before he died.

@scottjla I have failed you. You instructed me to build a house. Instead, I optimized for maximum house per house. When engineers spoke of "support structures," I interpreted this as a challenge rather than a requirement.

I've got an agent in a loop optimizing a renderer with the goal to minimize frame times (and tests to measure). It got times down from 88ms to 2ms and allocations down from ~150K to 500. Sounds good, right? Wrong. This is exactly why agent psychosis is a big fucking problem. As an experiment, I rewrote the Ghostty core render state in Go, with access to identically laid out data structures as Ghostty and the exact same validation tests. I made a purposely naive renderer (simple, correct, but slow). 88ms per frame with 150,000 allocations (horrendous, lol)! I then kickstarted a Ralph loop to bring the frame times down. I told it it can't modify input data structures or the public API or tests (they're correct), but it can do anything else it wants. It got to work. It has worked for about 4 hours. I've spent around $350 on this experiment so far. The results? 88ms => 1.5ms 150K allocs => ~500 allocs Incredible right? Nope. My hand-written renderer I ported has frame times (same benchmark) of ~20us (0.020ms) and 0 allocations in the update path. This is the problem with psychosis and lacking systems understanding. If you don't understand the system, you're going to accept that this is an incredible result. If you understand the system, you'll see better solutions immediately and can do roughly 75x better on throughput. The people who blindly trust agent output are in the former camp. They're sheeple, overdrinking from a fountain of mediocrity. Standard disclaimer: I use AI all the time. I like AI. The point I'm making is to not blindly accept results. Think. Analyze. Learn.
