Fun story about this game.... This was back in the days of the open-air press box at the Superdome. Midway through the game, an anxiety-ridden Saints fan couldn't take it as the Saints fell behind. He walked to top row of the stands below the press box and started banging the wall and screaming at the top of his lungs at reporters, saying the league and officials were screwing the Saints. He wouldn't stop. No one knew what to do. Finally, Mike Ornstein (R.I.P.) walked down to the front and told him, in no uncertain terms, to STFU! The guy meekly backed down and returned to his seat. Fast forward to the end of the game.... Hartley's kick is good. Everyone is cranking on deadline. And the same guy makes his way back to the top row below the press box, hands on his head, tears flowing down his face, and profusely and repeatedly apologizes to everyone. It was that kind of day in the Dome.
