@OrdinaryInds Yeah, I find myself preferring dead simple pages now. Scrolling through a “work of art” is rarely appreciated when visiting a product page. Same is true for product packaging. I know I’m paying for extra that doesn’t matter. The true art is in tasteful and effective simplicity.

NEVER share your factory ideas. I did, and it probably cost me a $100M. It was 2019. I was touring a buddy’s metal shop, and realized how much steel they buy. I casually said, “We should just buy steel coils, cut the to length, and sell sheet steel” He laughed. I laughed. I went home. He went to war. Fast-forward a few years…he’s got 40,000 sqft and does $100M/year in gross revenue. Drives a G-Wagon with "COILZ" plates. Now I make people sign NDAs before I say hello. Don’t be me.

Going back and forth between light and dark mode for my personal site. Light feels clean. Dark feels like a mood. Still not sure which one fits better. Oh, and this is not an attempt at engagement farming. I’ve just been staring at both for too long.

@MilesBowles we can't know what the right % should be because the market forces are not allowed to play out if Apple allowed developers to even ~~mention(!!!)~~ that there is an alternative payment option you'd quickly find out what customers are willing to pay for the convenience

Out of principle, I have never built an app that participates in Apple's payment system.
