People are the backbone of the force. At TotalForce+, SEAC David Isom, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, reinforced why investing in service members and their families is critical to readiness. It’s a mission MOAA has championed for decades — and one that continues at TotalForce+, which returns next February. Stay connected to what’s next. #PeopleOutrankEverything #TotalForcePlus

We’re at the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Physicians conference today, and the doctors are telling us what we already hear from members: accessing military healthcare is harder than it should be. MOAA is working to change that. Go to hubs.li/Q046gxQF0 to share your thoughts with your lawmakers. A special thanks to our local chapter member Colonel Bill Nelson for swinging by and to our staff members Rachel Bath and Pete Magnuson for their work! If you're at the conference, be sure to stop by for a chat and some cool MOAA swag!

We salute the service and sacrifice of Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Jaggers, an aviation survival technician assigned to Air Station Astoria, Oregon, who passed away the evening of March 5, 2026, as a result of critical injuries suffered during the rescue of a distressed mariner from a commercial ship offshore of Oregon on Feb. 27. “Aviation Survival Technician Jaggers represented the very best of our Service and the Aviation Rescue Swimmer community,” said Admiral Kevin Lunday, Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. “He demonstrated extraordinary heroism in the face of danger, upholding the highest standards of courage and excellence for Coast Guard operations. We honor his selfless actions and unwavering devotion to our highest calling: to save others. His family has our deepest condolences and steadfast support, and we continue to honor their privacy during this very difficult time.”

If we want the next generation to serve, we have to take good care of this one. At TotalForce+, Liz Rotenberry, military caregiver and Director of Caregiver Engagement at the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, challenged us to rethink transition as a lifelong commitment to service members and their families. At MOAA, that commitment drives our advocacy and enduring support for the entire military community. The conversation doesn’t end when the event does. hubs.li/Q045WcnZ0 for more. #BecausePeopleMatter

Leadership today requires more than expertise — it requires clarity and authenticity in a distracted world. At TotalForce+, Air Force veteran and content creator @sameckholm shared how breaking through the noise starts with showing up as who you really are. For MOAA, breaking through the noise is about amplifying and elevating the needs of service members, families, veterans, and survivors — and advancing solutions for the military community. The conversation doesn’t end when the event does. hubs.li/Q0450x9m0. #PeopleOutrankEverything
