I'm not a fan of this post. Even if houses were significantly cheaper on the coasts, the Midwest would still be a desirable place to live for many reasons. Wisconsin and Minnesota are two of the most functional states in the country.

You don't typically find out about it because it is in someone else's kid's IEP. I only learned that it can happen when the school called and asked if my son could accompany a kid with behavioural problems to his breakout session because the kid was well behaved when my son was present.
