The Harshilmi Borehole in Dandu Sub-County, drilled by the County Government and equipped by the Kenya Red Cross following a request from the CECM Dr. Mohamud Eda, has an estimated yield of 4–5 m³/h, bringing great relief to the neighbouring communities. The borehole is expected to significantly reduce water trucking pressure while serving nearby centres and supporting livestock within an approximate 30-kilometre radius. This vital project will also support communities affected by the ongoing drought by improving reliable access to safe water. #WaterAccess #DroughtResponse #ManderaCounty #WaterSecurity

Following earlier assessments that confirmed structural collapse due to subsurface instability and well integrity failure—rendering the old borehole non-functional—this evening the Department of Water Services has successfully drilled a new Andarak Borehole in Lulis Location, Banisa Sub-county, reaching a depth of 130m. This intervention responds to drought conditions and supports both community and livestock water needs. #DroughtResponse #WaterSecurity #LivestockSupport #Banisa #ManderaCounty #ClimateResilience
