Dr Manivannan was entitled to stand for election on their visa and was duly elected. Nothing has been done wrongly. They would ordinarily be granted a graduate route visa now having completed their PhD. The racism and bigotry on display is a shame to Scotland.

Scotland returned a fifth pro independence government. Regardless of whether you support independence or not, the question is do you support democracy.

Starmer stuttering on is a great look for the uk internationally - its also a gift to Reform. Labour are riven with division and incompetence. We deserve better.

Side note. To the Labour MPs who shout “Liz Truss” whenever the economy is discussed, should note that the UK 10yr bond yield under Truss peaked at 4.7% This morning, because of Reeves’ and Starmer’s ineptitude the 10yr bond yield is 5.02% Labour crashed the economy.

The Tories left this country so indebted that this really matters. A small 0.25 basis point increase in UK Gov gilt yields costs £17bn extra a year in interest payments alone. That’s ordinary people’s mortgages, rent and cost of living. That fact can’t be wished away.

I like the Prime Minister, he is a good and decent man. But it’s clear from countless doorstep conversations that my constituents have lost confidence in him. Disastrous local election results across the Black Country only confirm this. 1/2

This country might be about to have its 6th Prime Minister in 7 years. Why? Because they’ve all failed to take on a rigged economic system that enriches the few at the expense of us all. People want a society where children don’t go hungry. That is really not too much to ask.
