Mirai Tech City

Port Island in Kobe already houses one of the densest biomedical clusters in Asia. It has top hospitals, research institutes, regenerative medicine, and a SEZ built around the work. This October we're putting a few hundred founders, researchers, and builders there for a month, to figure out what it takes to grow that cluster into a city for biotech entrepreneurs. observation: the next generation of seed winners wont look more polished. theyll look weirder, leaner, and more machine-amplified. small teams, violent iteration speed, ugly internals, absurd output. a lot of legacy VCs are about to confuse unfamiliarity with risk and miss another cycle for the exact same reason.
