I was at the Crowded House farewell concert at the Sydney Opera House in 1996. One bit never made it to television. Some bloke scaled the giant video wall and dropped his daks, baring his arse to the whole crowd of Aussies who went wild. This is what went to television.
If you know what really happened it's much funnier.
BTW Crowded House are liars as having made me wait around all day for their "Farewell" and "last ever concert" they released an album last year. I want my money back!
Speaking of liars, the figure relied on in court by Palestinian Action Group of ~150,000 reportedly watching the concert ignores that a large portion of that number were on the surrounding foreshore. Not in the Opera house forecourt which had to turn away a lot of people.

We know much more about crowd safety since the 90s which is why stadia are now built differently (remember Hillsborough?) Moreover, the Crowded House numbers were known in advance with crowd control (at the time) arranged. The same is not true of this mob who just want people to rock up. In the judgment His Honour pointed out the Palestine Action Group have been repeatedly wrong in their crowd projections and even their projected numbers for this rally significantly exceeded safe thresholds.

I wish I could articulate how much I wish I didn’t have to think or speak about “trans issues” anymore, that I could just run a female only platform & no one has to give any attention to me, and that I didn’t have to basically beg people to help me pay for 3.5 years in federal court because some men have made “being a woman” their entire personality. But until this bullshit is resolved, I don’t have that option. I will eventually be able to move on, and am very optimistic (and excited) about that. But many young people who realized they were sucked into a cult, and many broken families, won’t have that option, and that does make me angry and I do get very down about it.
