@ACTBrigitte I fully support your son’s patriotism but he needs more guidance on the appropriate display of the flag. It should never be displayed in such a way that people will walk over or park on. Chalk it up to a lesson learned and have him change it to a more appropriate design.

No. I would NEVER vote or support socialized healthcare so if people DO want something socialized, they are agreeing to pay for whatever choices I make. Skinny people are expected to pay for fatties, aren’t they? Or are you not planning on covering people who ski and break their legs, or choose to drive a car and get into an accident? 🤷‍♀️. @seasalt_bae Do you people realize that home ownership, 30 yr mortgages, etc. is a relatively new concept? Before the 1950s, the vast majority of people rented, mortgages were typically 15 yrs or shorter and required a 20-30% down payment. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Convinced we’re indeed gonna enter a new Great Depression and the catalyst is going to entirely be this government and the wealthy class refusing to accept that they made shit too expensive and our wages too low to keep the economy going.

Some people get a head start and others don’t, that is luck of the draw for parents. Most of us who are able to give our kids a boost, do it BECAUSE we didn’t have that advantage and wanted to do better for our children. I think people are focusing too much on owning a home right now. Renting has advantages. I didn’t buy my first home until 42 because I wanted to be able to move easily for career opportunities so it was a net benefit for me to rent.

Owning a home used to be a milestone of adulthood. Now it’s often a sign that someone had a financial head start. For millions of first time buyers, saving a six figure down payment while paying today’s rent is nearly impossible. Without family assistance or an unusually high income, many won’t own a home until their 40s. This isn’t just about work ethic anymore. It’s about who got a head start.

@verm95536 @daviexbt He has the option to pay on the principle but he isn’t designating that. Basically they will treat it as a prepayment for future payments. I learned that lesson the hard way too.

Why do workers never seem to capture the full value they create? SOCIALIST theory points to private ownership of capital as the reason. CAPITALIST say it’s the price of risk, innovation & scaling. Who’s right in 2026?

If capitalism truly rewarded intelligence and skill, the richest people would be scientists, engineers, and neurosurgeons. If it rewarded talent, artists, writers, and creators would be at the top. If it rewarded hard work, cleaners, laborers, and service workers would be wealthy. But they’re not. So what exactly does capitalism reward?
