We also extend our gratitude to Ronny de Bot, the Interim Director of Hokulani Limited, whose strategic oversight has been crucial in our ongoing efforts. Despite the recent news that we will not be competing in the Tier 2 Championship for the 2025/2026 season due to not meeting the deadline—a result of the complex circumstances involving multiple parties, including a Northern Irish and an American consortium—we remain steadfast in our resolve. We had sought a two-week extension from the RFU to accommodate these intricacies, which was unfortunately not granted. We respect this decision and acknowledge the processes in place. However, there is a silver lining. The RFU is actively considering expanding the league for the 2026/2027 season, which could open a pathway for London Irish's return. Hokulani Limited remains committed to acquiring and retaining the London Irish assets, including the IP, the brand, and the cherished Hazelwood property. Our goal is not just to preserve rugby's spirit but to enhance it, working in close collaboration with the London Irish Amateur Club to ensure the legacy of rugby continues to thrive in this community. We are on the cusp of securing an exclusivity period with the ReSolve Group, our administrators, until January 31st. This will provide us the necessary time to finalize our plans and ensure that every aspect of this resurrection is meticulously addressed. Even though the last-minute bidding process initiated by ReSolve created some uncertainty, our position as the preferred bidder throughout highlights the faith placed in our vision for London Irish. This news might not be what you hoped to hear, but let it not dampen our collective spirit. The potential of the London Irish brand remains immense in our eyes, and with your continued support, we are confident in crafting a bright future for our club. Thank you for your kind letters, your words of encouragement, and your undying passion. Without you, this journey would not be possible.
