My wife and I just went and picked arugula and spinach from our garden and ate it… We didn’t microwave or put it on the stove first. Is it less nutritious? 😂

@FearStephen @JuliaHB1 @lyndsay_hopkins That's a weird flex. Children should be eating HOT lunches, not sandwiches, it's not healthy. Even if you're well off, it should be provided, perhaps at additional pay in this case.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.
