Hello @aircanada It has been almost 1.5 years of me trying to solve my #Aeroplan locked account problem with you. As a long time member I find this beyond ridiculous to have it gone this long. Please resolve my issue immediately. #Aircanada

I suspect that since the Olympics Helle wants a change of scenery. Not playing tonight because he wants to be traded (#redwings) and doesn’t want to get injured or see the fans during the last game of the season. #nhljets

@esanzi You obviously have never been to Winnipeg, MB. Canada. We’re like Japan. It wouldn’t need to be said, nearly everybody removes their shoes when entering a house. People bring their own indoor footwear when visiting. It’s no big deal.

Hosting an event or a party at your home and requiring that guests remove their shoes when they arrive is rude. And weird. And reveals an irrational concern over dirt and germs. If you insist on doing this, make sure the invitation includes a warning!

I have a feeling that Hellebuyck will be asking for a trade this summer. The Olympics actually broke him. #nhljets

Christmas Eve dinner with the family and we’re at a buffet in a bowling alley that’s harder to book than most Michelin restaurants. Les Grands Buffets in Narbonne, France, shares a parking lot with a bowling alley and swimming pool, but this buffet received 2.3 million booking requests last year so you need to book months in advance. The inside is really cool, it’s like a 19th century palace serving 150 Auguste Escoffier recipes all unlimited, with a lobster cascade, 111 different cheeses (Guinness World Record), 9 types of foie gras, and 50 desserts made by 7 pastry chefs. €66 per person with wine at producer prices, and you are greeted like royalty. Also The New Yorker called it “the hottest restaurant in France.” The place is packed with French and Spanish families on Christmas Eve and you can see why people treat this as somewhere to celebrate something special. Have a blessed Christmas!

@JetsHubYT The last full snow day for school in Winnipeg was April 7, 1997, so 28 years ago. The was a school day cancelled in April 2022 in Wpg but there were online classes so not really a real snow day.

Buenos Aires is the most walkable city in the Western Hemisphere. But nobody talks about the city’s subway system. If you live anywhere near a stop, you can get downtown in 25 minutes for 50 cents. Safe. Clean. Fast. Not ruined by constant delays. Tons of commuters use it daily. When foreigners show up, they just use Uber for everything. But if you live near the subway, use it. it is often faster than driving. The only city in the USA with a comparable system is NYC. Truly the most livable city on this side of the world.
