A THREAD. Imagine this: Out of 8.2 billion people on Earth, only 0.34% can create software. That’s ~27 million people — the builders of the modern digital world. Now ask yourself: How many of them are African? 1/ @MoICT_Ug @Educ_SportsUg @UCC_Official @UCC_ED

Is competence the new global currency? 💡 In the Fireside Chat: "Competence as Currency: Cultivating Tech Leadership and Career Pathways in Inclusive Fintech", we are exploring how student-led innovation and pan-African upskilling are actively shaping the next generation of fintech leaders. The conversation focuses on how university entrepreneurship societies empower students through prototyping bootcamps, workshops, and direct industry engagement. Leadership in these campus communities is building the resilience and competence needed to drive impact across Africa’s digital economy. #InclusiveFinTechForum #IFF2026

One of the best parts of Founders Inc. is the people. Met my two brothers, thoughtful, driven, and genuinely good humans. This is why community matters. Thank you @nourzahzah and @yousefhll for the time and sharing.

Growth is the single most important metric for any company. It’s the engine oil that makes everything else easier / faster: · Hiring is easier. · Partnerships are easier. · Sales has more momentum. · Product development has more momentum. · Raising capital is easier, which fuels everything above. Most recent examples are OpenAI and Anthropic where unprecedented growth has helped attract and retain top-tier talent, secure major strategic partnerships, enable product velocity and of course raise quite a bit of capital.

We at @maarifasasa are super excited to play a part in ushering this new dawn of Tooro Kingdom. Very well done Mr. PM @toorokingdompm 👏🏾👏🏾
Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki@toorokingdompm

Today, together with officials of the Tooro Kingdom, I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Mark and Mrs. Emmy Cotham of Books for Development, Houston, Texas. Our discussion centred on a transformative partnership that will pave the way for the establishment of a modern Kingdom Library, a beacon of knowledge designed to give our youth access to high quality books and learning resources. This initiative, which will begin at the King Oyo Foundation funded ICT Centre in Muchwa, is more than the creation of a library, it is the birth of a learning culture that empowers minds and shapes futures. The model will be replicated across all the new Incubation Centres currently under construction in the nine counties of our Kingdom, ensuring that literacy, technology, and innovation reach every corner of Tooro. We call upon all stakeholders, community leaders, development partners, philanthropists, and our people at home and abroad to embrace and support these Kingdom projects. The needs of our communities are diverse and evolving: today it is books and literacy; tomorrow it may be ICT training, gardening tools, solar innovations, irrigation systems, or practical skills for household income. Each of these contributions brings us closer to a stronger, more self-sustaining population. With the collective support of both local and international partners, I see before us the dawn of a new Tooro, a Kingdom grounded in knowledge, uplifted by innovation, and united in purpose. Together, we are building the future our people deserve. @KingOyoOfficial @QueenOlimi
