The below post must be viewed by all TN folks who lament that both DMK & ADMK gang up to defeat @annamalai_k and hence he should not contest… Look below at how tough it is for BJP in Kerala and yet they are fighting valiantly… Of course, central BJP backed Kerala unit fully unlike TN but that is another matter… Hence, if the central BJP wants and asks Annamalai to contest, he MUST….of course, he should be given the right to choose his own constituency. It will be some consolation for honest/sincere/loyal BJP karyakartas as well as supporters to see KA in assembly!

I see many posts claiming that the BJP has no chance in Keralam. But look at what is actually happening. 1. In Manjeshwaram, the Congress-UDF asked the SDPI candidate to withdraw just to stop BJP. 2. Same kind of reports are coming from Malampuzha, Chathannoor, Nemom, Kazhakootam that the Welfare Party may back the LDF to block BJP. 3. In Palakkad, Congress itself is accusing the Communists of indirectly helping BJP by fielding a Muslim candidate to split votes. All this is in the news. People in these constituencies know it. BJP is up against everyone together, Jamaat e Islami, Welfare Party, Congress, Communists and SDPI. It is not a simple fight. Let us see what happens this time.

The rep acknowledged that the contest is going to be very keen. Curiously, he pointed to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam as the chief rival. The actions of senior DMK leaders suggest a degree of unease about TVK in Chennai. The fear of minority vote loss is real. If that happens, the AIADMK-NDA alliance could be in the reckoning across all seats in Chennai.

BIG: Government cuts excise duty by Rs 10 on petrol and diesel amid West Asia war. GOOD BUT .. Qs 1) will the cut only be for a month till elections are over or will it sustain? Q2) did it require a war and a supply crisis for excise duties to be cut? q3) why weren’t benefits ever passed onto consumer when global oil prices were low?
