At the request of our residents, we are pleased to report that a SID (speed indicator device) has been recently fitted along Townley Rd. hopefully this will ensure drivers keep to the speed limit. @bexleynews @MPSBexleyheath @BexleyheathTown #RoadSafety

@0ooO00OOo0oo @Towler My guy the most cursory scroll down your profile suggests this is not the best line of attack to choose here
English

@MitchellBroadb3 @Towler You’re 27 and spend the majority of your day posting about LTNs?
English

@0ooO00OOo0oo @Towler always good to see how many people didn't go yeah
English

@Towler That is a VERY restorative sight.
There are some decent people out there
English

@tomebright Reform needs to hope any of this lot are still alive come the next election mate
English

@BBCTomEdwards @MayorofLondon well... *do* you argue it undermined talks?
Is this an exercise for the reader or something?
English

Another interesting point with #tubestrikes is because of last year’s intervention by @MayorofLondon of an extra £30m you just got the feeling both sides were waiting for it again. You could argue it undermined talks.
English

@chrismitch99 @Big_Jim__Larkin @andyelvers @BBCTomEdwards ...I'd rather ride in a train without an exhausted driver, and I don't mind if someone far richer than me is taxed more to cover it.
I refuse to believe boots just taste that nice my guy
English

@nicclesb Perfect I’ll be sure to purchase HBO max before it releases.

Warwick Davis announces to the world that he's a transphobe.
Any adult signing up for this project will - or should - be aware of what Rowling has said she will be using her royalties from it for.
There are no excuses. Not a single one.

Warwick Davis will return as Professor Filius Flitwick in HBO’s new ‘HARRY POTTER’ reboot series.
English

@ThomasFTurrell @Councillorsuzie @ragssandhu @SueGower2 Terrible that you continue the war on motorists by failing to reopen that shopping centre to cars, which would definitely help the businesses there.
English

Labour's job tax, ULEZ expansion and higher inflation have been a toxic cocktail for our high streets. If we don't use them, we will lose them.
Thank you to @Councillorsuzie for joining me, @ragssandhu and @SueGower2 in talking to local business owners on the Broadway.
English

@AndrewCurtois None of Labour's policies are socialist and you have no idea what socialism is and it's a giant relief to know that five years from now you will have no influence and no power and no one will be listening to you or caring what you think or say
English

We know Socialist economics don’t work. This happens every time
Conservatives@Conservatives
GDP growth has HALVED in just three months. Don’t let Labour gaslight you. This is a direct result of the decisions Rachel Reeves has made. Only the Conservatives will get spending under control and get Britain growing again.
English

@KeighleyWest @oiltraderlondon @LBC @jhansonradio You said the Royal Family are required to work. They're not. That's *why* they're not working class.
If they really were required to *work*, and would be unable to comfortably survive otherwise, then yeah, they would be working class. It's just that that would never happen
English

@MitchellBroadb3 @oiltraderlondon @LBC @jhansonradio I never said the royal family were working class
English

'So you are working class despite the fact that you own eight properties, because of your background, and yet Keir Starmer, son of a toolmaker, is not?'
@jhansonradio debates with caller John, as Danny Dyer says 'working-class people should be running our country’.
English

@KeighleyWest @oiltraderlondon @LBC @jhansonradio no they're not?
Queen was off for months at a time when she was older and it didn't make anything harder for her
English

@electrolemon @MargBarCinema general umbrella term describing these is 'metrical feet'
English

@BexleyheathTory Wait, really? Are you all just, like, really terrible at doing good things then?
You can't even get the sun to come out for a decent pic...

@BexleyLabour @Jim4Dartford Hey it's that guy who voted through the welfare cuts! Glad to see him pretending he cares <3
English

Buzzed: Brixton MPs cave in to Labour whip pressure and vote for welfare cuts brixtonbuzz.com/2025/07/brixto… For Hayes & Eshalomi the challenge will be explaining to their constituents why they sided with a government that is pushing through cuts affecting the most vulnerable in society

English

@TwofeetgoodSE21 @betterstreetswd @AirCroxted But... you won't advocate for widening residential roads, or correctly signposting them, or doing anything to actually equalise traffic levels.
So... how is your position any better by your own metric?
English

@betterstreetswd @AirCroxted What’s being called "fair" here are schemes where traffic, noise, and risk are diverted to surrounding streets - which are often more economically and ethnically diverse. That’s not fair — that’s spatial injustice.
English

Creating oases of tranquillity for a select few is a form of spatial exclusion. The idea that fairness can be assessed by checking who won or lost in the property market reduces civic life to a financial game, ignoring issues of dignity, access & shared space. @AirCroxted
Clean Air For All Dulwich@DulwichCleanAir
Anna Goodman's husband trying to grasp at any straw to make LTNs popular. Now they're a good thing because they make property prices go up? Desperate times clearly call for desperate measures. His total lack of empathy for those on the boundary of LTNs is insane.
English

@gameloverblake @geniusman16 @jthysell @Pinko69420 (my grand theory here is that "canon disrespect" is a way people express their frustrations at decisions taken in TLJ (or any story), not because 'canon is broken' by them, but because they don't think the film is worth the effort required to 'put them into the canon')
English

@gameloverblake @geniusman16 @jthysell @Pinko69420 To me Poe is a blank slate in TFA, so TLJ gets to 'decide' what kind of person he is. Without saying whether it's *good*, I think they chose something *consistent*, so my q is: do you disagree? Or was it just that the decision bothered you for other reasons (which is fine)?
