@MobAficionado @Chicago_Goofies Simple fix. Make people have to authorize a credit card before any service (food or drinks) and make it uniform for all customers. That way you avoid any legal issues. It gives the restaurant some peace of mind knowing the customer can pay. That I have zero problems with.

A black man from Chicago walked into a restaurant, ordered a drink, and the manager told him he had to pay first. He asked other people there if they had to pay first; they said no. Then he asked the manager why he had to pay first. The manager said it was normal. He thinks they're being racist towards him because he's black. What do you think of this situation?

@Chicago_Goofies Typically if one orders a drink, you pay for it then unless you start a tab. And that would require you to put down a credit card. Now having to pay for the meal upfront is a bit of a reach. That I would have a problem with unless I was ordering it carryout.
