Trump thought he could just bully Iran into submission…like a dodgy business deal. But it isn’t happening here. Iran have shown fortitude and guile in their strategy and so he’s getting very erratic and wild. But he is the author of his own entrapment here. He completely underestimated that for Iran & Israel - this war is existential. But he fired the starting gun. But it’s now impossible to stop. Pandora’s box has been opened. It’s a war that ultimately he can’t win. Even if the U.S. gain Hormuz…they would have to defend it under attack forever. It’s a zero sum game.
