🚨 I was almost taken hostage in Cuba... I went to Cuba to document the humanitarian crisis and show life under 60+ years of communism and now amid the US blockade. Once I landed, they seized all my cameras except my iPhone and had intelligence agents following me all day until my security noticed their spies tailing us to the hotel where they waited all night for us to come down. Under communism there is no free speech, and those who show the reality or speak up are imprisoned. Me going without a planned Cuban government guide nearly got me and my security taken hostage or imprisoned. The situation in Cuba is much worse than anyone knows.

It doesn't make sense that a 'witness' is expected to answer questions truthfully jikijiki couple of days they're arrested.

UPDATE: #MadlangaCommission Evidence leader Mahlape Sello confirms Major-General Senona's legal team has asked for a postponement.
Senona was meant to appear on Friday. His testimony now moved to 1 June 2026.
The evidence leader says that since his suspension, Senona says he requires more time to get information, and that alone is sufficient ground.
Other issues include a disciplinary hearing (labour related) with SAPS ongoing.
The Chairperson grants order.

EXCLUSIVE LEAD:
Major General Lesetja Senona, the head of the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal, will no longer appear before the Madlanga Commission on Friday.
Sources say this follows a formal challenge by his legal team regarding procedural irregularities and his prior commitments (including a disciplinary hearing from the 4th to the 6th, and a court hearing in Durban on the 7th).
It's believed his lawyers wrote to the commission raising concerns that the summons did not precede a Rule 3 notice and supporting documents; they further indicated that the contents of the summons had already been answered.
