ACTING NATIONAL COMMISSIONER ORDERS MAXIMUM RESOURCES TO TRACE KILLERS OF MAHIKENG CRIME ACTIVIST @SAPoliceService The Acting National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane, has directed the North West Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Ryno Naidoo, to ensure maximum resources are deployed to hunt down the killers of vocal Mahikeng-born crime activist and traditional healer, Mr Thato Molosankwe. According to North West police, Mr Molosankwe was shot and killed after he was attacked at his home in Lomanyaneng village, Mahikeng, in the early hours of this morning. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Lieutenant General Dimpane has strongly condemned the brutal murder and assured the community that no stone will be left unturned until those responsible are found and brought to book. Mr Molosankwe has been described by local police as a community-minded individual who played an important role in assisting police efforts aimed at fighting crime and corruption as well as strengthening relations between the SAPS and communities. The Provincial Murder and Robbery Unit has taken over investigations into the matter. Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist investigations to contact the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or provide anonymous tip-offs via the MySAPS App.

A lot of misinformation from legacy media about Starlink’s entry into South Africa. Here’s the truth 👇 • ❌ “Starlink wants to bypass B-BBEE” ✅ False — it supports transformation via EEIP, a legal framework already used by companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Amazon Web Services. • ❌ “Starlink is asking for special treatment” ✅ No — it’s asking for equal rules so ALL satellite operators can compete fairly. • ❌ “EEIP is less beneficial than equity deals” ✅ Reality — Starlink’s plan would connect 5,000 rural schools with FREE high-speed internet, impacting millions of students every year. • ❌ “It won’t create local impact” ✅ It will partner with local businesses, create jobs, and boost the economy (broadband growth = GDP growth). • ❌ “It will become a monopoly” ✅ Impossible — Starlink operates globally in a competitive market across 150+ countries. • ❌ “Security & privacy risks” ✅ It will fully comply with South African laws like every other country it operates in. • ❌ “Starlink is already operating illegally” ✅ Wrong — it is NOT operating because it is still waiting for a license.

🇿🇦 A senior South African politician just got caught lying about Starlink to protect mobile network operators. Parliamentary communications chair Khusela Diko claimed Starlink "doesn't move the needle" on school connectivity. Here's what she left out: 16,000 schools still have no internet after 12 years, a missed deadline, and mobile operators billions over budget. Starlink offered to connect 5,000 schools for free and was turned away. A rural mobile tower costs around $61,000 and can serve just a single school. The numbers don't lie. The politician did. @elonmusk @drk_2_lite South Africa should be sanctioned and shunned by the world.
