if you know me, you know i only work on & talk about products i actually use as a trader first. given i wanted to get really deep on Backpack Futures, i deposited ~$5k into a fresh subacct when i started my new role at @Backpack & built a scaling schedule straight out of my prop days simple start → drawdown → clip size sheet. 13 levels, $5k to $100k, with trade count + drawdown rules at each level. the same framework we used to grow accounts in prop took ~4 months, but last week i completed the challenge: → 123 trades logged → ~$30M in volume → $BTC, $ETH, $SOL, $PAXG, $HYPE perps, all on Backpack nothing teaches you an exchange’s dynamics like actually trading on it. all the small nits, the microstructure quirks — you only find them by living in the product so what’s next? topping up with a fresh $100k and going deep on stock trading with Backpack Securities. public beta is live, v2 right around the corner, and i’ve been wanting to make this pivot for a while given everything happening on the equities side — AI, robotics, quantum, space time to run it back from $200k this time 😉🎒

I don’t really understand why everyone is wetting their knickers over these market movements. Last week Silver. This week BTC. Everyone quoting the price every 2 seconds. I’ve got a chart and a fucking pair of eyes, mate. Just trade the levels and stop talking.

Pleasure always to speak in real life to someone ready to make a serious change in their lives. Rare to meet someone finally ready to act by turning inside and deconstructing their entire small I-identity fabrication. Beautiful also to observe how many know something is ¨off¨, but few are willing to be honest and lower their egoic defenses to discover the root cause Crypto-X (twitter) feels kind of dead now, and my dm´s are lower than ever, but this account will not abandon this space, we went through hard times before as a community, hence.... Dm/chat is always open for serious concise questions, will also do a Q&A soon in an open spaces session for anyone to ask questions in person Be well Look inside once in while

TRADING IS BORING. BUT I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF IT Alright, I rarely have two coffees on lazy Sundays, so let me ramble for a minute about how I feel about trading after spending years as a growth marketer People think trading is glamorous. It’s not. The boring part is real. There are weeks where the best trade is no trade. I’ll journal 27 ideas and execute two. My girlfriend asks what I did all day, and I say “nothing” because explaining that I avoided a -20% drawdown feels like bragging about not stepping in dog shit. You wake up, check the overnight wicks, realize you become the human equivalent of a price alert, stare at a chart for a few hours, and hope you don't miss the actual move when you step away to grab some food. You go on CT for a laugh, which I could scroll endlessly back in the day, but you end up seeing the eighth version of the same thread by someone farming their Kaito points. (Damn, I miss the old CT with weird devs arguing about gas fees.) Sometimes I open my Slack for no reason. Just to make sure there is nothing there. The to-do list is short. I haven't gotten a deadline challenge in months, maybe years. Things like that give me a feeling that something is missing. On the other hand, marketing sat right in the middle. Never as quiet as a dead chart, never as explosive as a short squeeze. Same as charts, it gave you constant motion, constant feedback, constant ego bruises just in a different way. "Oh, but you make money trading, cry me a river". Eh, I could talk about the dopamine hits from a good trade, but they end up fading quicker than ever before. Not every day is like that, of course. There are exciting days when an alt I’ve been stalking for weeks gaps up 80% in six hours because, well, crime is legal, or I managed to short something at the pico top. Oof, especially if it is a dog shit alt I hate. Best feeling in the world. But I came to a realization that it is the process. The process of spotting the setup, sizing the position, watching the thesis play out...that’s the puzzle I can’t quit. If you master it to a certain degree, it becomes a drug. The opportunities in trading are stupidly big if you treat it like a craft instead of a slot machine. And the same way marketers have an edge with data analytics or by really understanding target audience behaviour, I realized that in trading, you gain an edge with pattern recognition and the discipline to wait until the odds are dumb in your favor I'm replaying this sentence in my head twenty times - The discipline to wait until the odds are dumb in your favor. Is trying to trade every day the opposite of that? Maybe. But is the daily mental preparation, planning, backtesting, and hours of studying price action beneficial for outperforming on those days? Abso-fucking-lutely. What else is there to do if you are a trader? Would I go back to marketing full-time? No. (Unless they double my yearly trading revenue, "wink wink @tim_cook" ) I think this post lost its meaning. I'm just writing out words, so let me conclude things. Recently been thinking that I should start writing some project review threads and do branding audits, with no obligations, because when the timing is right, I still want to be in the order book and steal your lunch money. Either way, I realized the worst thing you can do is chase claps. Chase edge and self-improvement, and everything will feel amazing. As long as it stimulates your whiskers and pays the bills. (You will want to be able to pay the bills.) - Cat

Family: - lot of outdoor time and physical activities - not the modern ¨no rules, let kid do whatever it wants bullshit approach¨, we draw the line when necessary - strong emphasis that family and values are important - 1 hour max a day of useful screen-time: languages + skills + watching inspiring videos etc. Enough good apps for kids to learn nowadays - lot of singing and dancing together - most importantly: allow, love, be present, be the example, patience (lot of patience)

Search "Perpetual Perspectives" on Youtube or Spotify Few know that I hosted what I believe is one of the most genuine podcasts having conversations with traders and investors in the space. 26 episodes over the course of 2024 and part of 2025. The motivation behind this was fueled out of passion and my own curiosity. I spoke to people I genuinely wanted to have a conversation with (hence the sparse episodes). Episodes include conversations with Huss, Mercury (2x), Doc (2x), TheFlowHorse (2x), Magus, CredibleCrypto, 0xKun, Luckshury, NikAlgo, Sting, Mayne, Linn, Hoeem, CryptoBully and many more. It was an honor to talk to these guests and to be able to pick their brain. These episodes are extremely insightful imo Can't promise a fixed schedule but I do have a bit of an itch to do this again once in a while.

2026 was by far my best year - not just trading-wise, but overall. It was genuinely a fun time. Started my Twitter in July as a journal, and it turned into more than that. Caught almost every major move, all documented along the way. Grew it to 1,670 followers! shoutout to @Karouzu1, @Waffle_XBT, @shinigamiXBT, love y’all 🤍 Of course we took some losses that’s part of the game but they don’t even compare to the wins. Met a lot of great people along the way, learned a ton, and built strong connections. Grateful for everyone who supported me on my journey and stayed locked in all year. This was a special one. These are just some of my best trades this year. 2026 loading…
