Want to know why policing is in crisis? One of the reasons is because they spout this kind of unintelligible bollocks - 'policing will need to integrate strategic foresight and interoperability if it is to maintain legitimacy.'

@PeterBleksley How right you are Peter. They should listen to you , but they are deaf to bullshit.

Dear Police Officers, Policing is NOT a business. You don’t manufacture or sell anything. Your job is keeping the peace, preventing crime, and detecting crime when it occurs. That is unique. Don’t believe the bullshit that an ambitious superintendent with an MBA tells you.

'In The Big Room' is out now. 'I’d not really taken advantage of the big room as a performance space myself and when, in 2003, the opportunity came up, we grabbed it... we weren’t as polished and rehearsed as we might have been while on tour, but it made for a more awake and edgy performance, as we were fully concentrating on what we were doing.' 🚨🗣 Manchester United legend Bryan Robson has called on Michael Carrick to ensure the club does not allow Casemiro to leave: "I would encourage Casemiro to STAY. He’s had a really good season this year." "He’s a TOP player. He’s got a great football brain. He’s a really good passer of the ball. He heads the ball well and when he goes in to tackle, he means it." "You don’t stay at Real Madrid for the amount of years he did and win Champions League titles if you’re not an absolute top player and people see what you’re really good at." "So I think next season he could definitely give us a little bit more with his EXPERIENCE. He was great in Europe last year too." [Metrouk]

@StoolTennis That’s the level Raducanu is really playing at . Ok until she plays the top players. But being her coach is surely like hiring a deckchair on the Titanic 🤷‍♂️

You raise an interesting issue but it’s not quite right. 1) very few permanent residents have left. The panic was among tourists. 2) of the very few that did, they haven’t just abandon their homes/entire set up forever?! 🤣🙄 They’ve just taken a couple of weeks out. 💯 they will still be paying their nanny/driver 3) the pain IS being felt by low paid ‘freelance’ workers who are heavily reliant on tourists eg taxi drivers…

This is what I feared was going to happen and it's proving true. Some questions I want international media to start asking the wealthy people who flee Dubai: Where is your maid? What happened to your driver? Did you bring your nanny with you? Under the kafala system in these countries, your visa is linked to your employer. Your housing very often is too. If you are a Filipina nanny for a wealthy British family in Dubai and they abruptly leave, you have no visa to enter the UK with them. You now are in the UAE with no job and likely no place to stay. You probably have your own children at home in the Philippines to support.

Migrant workers from poorer countries, including Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Philippines, who form the backbone of the UAE’s workforce are increasingly bearing the human cost of the US-Israel-Iran conflict. At least 2 Pakistani labourers are confirmed dead so far.

@SuppressedSikh Despite the extraordinary win some years ago in the US Open , she has flattered to deceive ever since. Sadly I can’t see her winning big ever again . Mentally all over the place imo 🤷‍♂️

Well you have to say that was a lot more entertaining than most of us expected! Still not sure drivers are enjoying it that much though. Ferrari held back the Mercedes steamroller for longer than expected and how about our 5 Brits all in top 8! And what a debut for Lindblad 🇬🇧

Had to pleasure of getting to know Salts when I was doing a coaching course. He was incredibly kind, insightful, funny and generous with sharing his knowledge. Desperately sad for his family and friends. It’s later in the day than you think so don’t fret the small things. RIP 🫶🏻

Some very sad news. Former Bristol Rugby captain Matt Salter has died at the age of 49. Following his playing career Matt worked for many years as Head Coach at Clifton and Director of Rugby at Clifton College. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
