I have very exciting news that we have been working on for a long time and it’s now official. Protect a Volunteer now has a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction with the Foreign Recruitment Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For OPSEC purposes I am not sharing the exact details of the agreement. However we are looking forward to working on the shared goals of helping more foreigners come to assist Ukraine’s fight and provide them with appropriate support once they arrive. Ukraine’s defense of its own territory is remarkable; so are the contribution of foreign volunteers who fight with them. Integrating thousands of volunteers coming from all around the world has not been easy. It understandably took time for Ukraine to formalize a system to be able to expand their recruitment of foreigners as well as the opportunities they have in Ukraine. Now that it is formalized under a central command we are looking forward to working together. We will have a lot of updates soon regarding this partnership.

Every soldier has a cemetery bearing Syrskyi's name. Every volunteer has one too. The worst day for me was 26 guys in a single day. What is this cemetery, you may ask? It is the cemetery of those who died for absolutely no reason, simply because they were carrying out a senseless order. That is what has hurt the most throughout all these years. There are several soldiers who lost their minds and have spent endless time in hospitals because they could not endure all of this. Yes, a few times in 2022 and 2023, Syrskyi saved our men from even more reckless butchers. But I cannot recall a single similar case from 2024 through 2026. There simply were none. He became increasingly ruthless. And one more thing. Syrskyi considers the Battle of Kyiv to be a lifetime justification for everything that followed. But I will say this plainly: if Syrskyi had been Commander-in-Chief on February 24, 2022, the Russians would have entered Kyiv. Because Syrskyi carries out every wish of Zelenskyy and Yermak. One of those wishes before the invasion was to send all the brigades from the Kyiv region to the East. Zaluzhnyi, at his own risk, delayed the 72nd Brigade for a week under a fabricated pretext and made sure Yermak's people knew nothing about it. On February 23, he moved the brigade to defend Kyiv along the Irpin River—again entirely at his own risk. There was no longer enough time to occupy positions along the Prypiat River. The 72nd Brigade became the backbone of Kyiv's defense, and the enemy did not enter the city. Would the 72nd Brigade still have been in the Kyiv region if Syrskyi had been Commander-in-Chief? No. Every wish would have been carried out, the battle would have been lost, and there would have been a sea of blood and defeat. We should think not only about the victory near Kyiv, but about the lessons of February 2022, which go much deeper. Soldiers are issued only 12 shotgun shells to shoot down drones. This is already the fourth year of the drone war, yet they keep buying Safari shotguns that spend endless time being repaired. Holosun thermal super-collimators have only recently begun to be issued, and only to some special operations personnel. If American soldiers were protected this way, they would sue—and they would win. But here, in the fifth year of the war, saving soldiers remains the responsibility of the soldiers themselves and the volunteers. All of this hurts... We keep working, because we hope against hope... And we try to save at least someone from this endless hell... Friends, please support the protection of the Warriors of Light. Right now they urgently need: - Typhoon Sierra shotguns — 30,456 UAH each, 4 still needed! - Holosun thermal super-collimators — 89,640 UAH each. There are requests for 9 of them! - Shotgun ammunition — 6,760 UAH per box of 250 rounds. The requests are endless! - Typhoon Quake shotguns — 26,300 UAH each. There are already requests for at least 8 of them! Please help—every donation will be matched by our Ukrainian sponsors!!! Follow @MapleSyrupF for the TeamYuri Raffle updates! Hard to think of a more Soviet thing to do than ordering soldiers into the heart of Kostyantynivka, the ground zero of the war in Donbas, for a photo-op with flags bearing portraits of Zelensky and Ukrainian defense chief Gen. Syrsky, whose resignation is being demanded by protesters across Ukraine. This was done by the scandal-ridden Skelya regiment, Syrsky’s pet unit that has been accused of murdering and torturing recruits, and of sending soldiers to their deaths without much concern, in Kostyantynivka and elsewhere. Back in the USSR.

Went to Ivana Frank’s square tonight where hundreds of people gathered to protest the firing of Fedorov and demande the replacement of Gen. Syrskyi as Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. Crowd was very young, energetic. The mobilization seems to be only getting stronger.

TL;DR: Supplying @exileseven02 and his team doing high-risk search and rescue after russian strikes in Kyiv means that civilians get the medical help they need without depriving the front line of help *they* need. We're fundraising for CATs and burn dressings for @UFL_Robin to bring over for them. See below for donation links, and to see an extremely soft, cute cat called Puff. Writes Exile: We are a mixed group of soldiers from the armed and intelligence services along with a couple of civilian nurses who are working as a rapid response team to strikes in Kyiv during our time off, we do high risk urban search and rescue in unsecured scenes, medical evacuation, and assist firefighting efforts. My team specializes in being first on site where possible, responding to areas deemed too dangerous by other first response due to risk of secondary strikes of collapses. As such our need for critical trauma care items, particularly burn dressings, is very high. Where in our normal front line work we expect to treat one or two wounded at a time, here it may be an apartment block full of them all at once. We are completely self funded and use our own equipment, including what we normally reserve for front line operations, but right now it's needed here as civilians are under fire on a nightly basis. Any and all help with alleviating our critical supply burden is very, very appreciated!

@BiankaB12 @JPLindsley I think we are both in agreement on this but kicking someone out for having bad opinions is different from kicking out the scammers and guys beating up women here.

Why? Plenty of scammers out there. Like that guy, “commander” Brad. As if it’s not enough for Ukriane to have to fight a war of national survival against a barbaric enemy, while battling its own domestic problems, but they also have to accommodate all sorts of washed up Westoids that engage in scams, clout chasing and feeding their narcissism?

The 2025 Trump-Zelensky Oval Office meeting was a disaster. At the time, I pointed out that Zelensky's team was ill-prepared for such a high stakes meeting. And, even though many in Ukraine agreed with me, I received horrible backlash and threats from pro-Ukraine elites here on X, who among other things sought to evict me from Ukraine. I hope none of those critics are joining the protests this week against Zelensky's decision to sack Fedorov. Or if they are, please post a public apology to me. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Change is inevitable. You thanked me for Mriya and Diia. In return, I thank you for giving me hope. I’ve never felt a responsibility this great — not even while serving in government. Thank you to our veterans and service members for holding the line and upholding our honor. The dialogue is happening. I believe we will succeed.

Then why are the soldiers in the Army backing Fedorov despite facing penalties for doing so? Your analysis is about how the USA’s military is structured and what would happen. This is Ukraine. Ukraine is not whatever your experience was. Try coming here yourself and see how your opinion is received. I volunteer to take you to meet soldiers serving here.

@RachelPAV federov is not demanding one person leave he is demanding the entire general staff be removed.... thats MANY officers, and that means officers throughout the military will have to move around to fill slots. many officers that are not ready for commands.... this will gut the army

federov is gone, he burned bridges with the military. now if you want to remove the general staff (not just one) just remember its the end of the summer offensive. and the rest of the general staff will probably quit also... this will mean over 100 senior officers in the AFU will be moving and taking new jobs, generals moving up, battalion commanders replacing brigade commanders, etc.. you may see 100s of officers quit, and then you would have to find 100s of replacements without the skills needed to move up. .. this takes months to iron out. its not an easy fix!!! if you only have generals you like than think of the good ones that were ass holes and no one liked at the time... can you Imagin the USA without Patton or Mccarthor? both were hated by the troops and most of the country when they came to know them. its not about your feelings, its about killing russians and firing the general staff would make the russians sooooo happy.

What a surprise. The scammer with main character syndrome is trying to make the sacking of Fedorov and the protests around it about himself. Remember, this is the guy who can’t name a single brigade his drone charity has helped, said that Zelenskyy was ill prepared for the White House meeting rather than criticizing Vance attacking Zelenskyy and then switched to saying Zelenskyy was brave for “wearing the green”, and who wrote a self published book in what he said he was “Recruited by Russia” in his promotional material for it. Joey knows me, that motherfucker will never get an apology from me as I cannot apologize for what is true. I wouldn’t believe anything he has to say.

If you watch what happens to civilians in Kyiv and wish you could do something, you can. This search and rescue team needs help affording medical supplies. They would come get me if I ever needed that so I would very much like them to have enough supplies.

Yesterday I got into arguments with plenty of Ukraine supporters from outside Ukraine. I stand fully by my positions. All the posts I shared and all the opinions I expressed came exclusively from Ukrainians - friends, volunteers, soldiers, veterans - people who have been sacrificing to keep the country together for 12 years since some of them went out to face bullets for a better life on Maidan. Zelensky was surrounded by corrupt people since before he ran for president. The Ukrainian people calmly tolerated that because there was an unspoken pact between the leadership and the people that defending the country against russia takes priority. Zelensky did a good job in his role as president by keeping Ukraine in the spotlight and using diplomacy to gather vital support abroad. Ukrainians coming out to protest and those I spoke to personally, feel that that pact was broken, not only by sacking a reformer like Fedorov but also by keeping a deeply flawed and mistrusted commander of the armed forces like Sirsky. And on top of that, sneaking in a new government with controversial ministers and a head of the SBU who tried to dismantle the anti corruption agency, in the very last day of the parliamentary session while reportedly ignoring legal procedures for important appointments. This doesn't look like a president who miscalculated, it looks like a president who schemed to go back to the status quo of oligarchy and corruption. To add insult to injury, Sirsky came out with a bitter statement against Ukrainian citizens expressing their democratic right to protest and moves to suppress and punish soldiers who voiced their support for the citizens. The president has yet to comment on this deeply undemocratic behavior. No man is incorruptible, no man is immune from getting drunk with power and overreaching his mandate. In the last 3 months, Ukrainians had hope after 4 years of bitter full scale war that there is a path to victory and it's president Zelensky's actions in the last two days that killed that hope in many and sparked angry reactions in society and the military. This is not about one minister, it's about ignoring the voice of the people and especially the voices of the soldiers who have bled to defend the country. The Ukrainian constitution does not allow for elections in war time and there should not be elections until the war is over. This means, that after 7 years in power, with no elections in sight, the president and the parliament need to be held accountable by the citizens and, yes, also those of us who love and support Ukraine. When soldiers and important commanders say that the path Zelensky has chosen recently will lead to defeat, listen to them. My personal reactions were so visceral because, having lived in Ukraine, still going to Ukraine often and having so many people I love and trust there, I firmly believe that this moment and how it will be resolve will determine victory or defeat for Ukraine. I stand with the Ukrainian people and the defenders.
