@ReformUKSam @reformparty_uk You seem to be on a planning committee without understanding the role of the planning system. The committee evaluates an application purely based on local and national planning policy. You should have known that before you were allowed to sit on the committee.

@implausibleblog Higher taxes stifles economic growth. People spend only on necessites and less on luxuries thus certain industries take a downward turn. Lower taxes give individuals more money which they inturn spend on luxuries, that's how you stimulate growth, its not rocket science.

@andrewhesselden None of the above. The focus on reproductive rights didn't appear to cut through with male voters as much as Harris's team expected it to. When push comes to shove, "it's the economy, stupid". Post-covid and post-inflation, people feel poorer and the vote reflected that.

@EngineerLondon @RobBurnett92 I know we have to decarbonise our power generation but I come from a family where many of my male ancestors were coal miners and my late father ran trucks transporting fly ash at Ratcliffe during the 70's, so it's a somewhat poignant moment for me. Definitely the end of an era.

⚽ Loved it at @wahufc summer tournament. 338 teams taking part - that's *lots* of football-mad kids coming to #Walton! 💪 The club is doing lots for girls' participation too & 1st women's senior team playing next season. 👏 Such a well-run community club and local asset.
