
Stephen Muthama, a clinical officer and reproductive health specialist, has condemned the new SHA policy requiring an external regulator to complete pre-surgery and post-surgery forms, a task traditionally handled by specialists conducting the procedures. “This policy is demeaning. As specialists, we are qualified to manage our own forms, as we did under NHIF. This unnecessary process will cause delays, forcing patients to wait longer in emergencies, which could have catastrophic consequences,” said Muthama
