@Glitchpuppi maybe it's just white mage but i really didn't see an engaging healing rotation à la wow where you need to manage ressources, stacks, be aware of talent interactions, synergyze different healing tools we're losing so many healing buttons on ast if we're stuck to 16 buttons

Limiting every job to 16 buttons is the most unnecesary thing. I dont know how SE convinced people button bloat is a problem. You have 48 binds on controller with WXHB bars. "We broke the 2m meta" you created that problem though it was fine before EW.

@MothKira @Glitchpuppi don't worry, I 100% agree haha. WoW healing is just way more interactive than FF's because of consistent raid damage, bleeds, and things that must be cleansed which adds way more reactionary gameplay and keeps me on my toes 99% of the time

@bryan_25252 @Glitchpuppi i have asked them to triple the cadence of damage the bosses do in endgame for years and make healers have to actually heal most gcds. but they listen to timmy first mmo on WHM and like maybe that's the correct financial decision for the corporation, but i'm still gonna ask

@Glitchpuppi I play wow, its such a different game i dont think its relevant. We are stuck with 2.5 gcd prison on this side if the fence. Wow healing makes ff's look like a kid game but in ff we act like healing is the hardest thing ever and whm got made easier again, its just so different.

@MothKira @ArborusVitae Not entirely sure tbh but they still had the crit buff, and now they are losing battle litany and not getting the tether back removing any sort of feeling the job had for teamwork. You just focus on your own personal damage and pray everyone else pulls their own weight

@MothKira Oh 100%! It's a huge part of why endgame content has such a low completion rate is just because people are afraid of trying / conflict avoidant. I genuinely believe *if they want to* you can get any player to clear any ultimate / encounter, but so few people want to(is fine)

@fallgachafall You don't really need macros in this game too, i feel a lot of people complaining about bloat just have a bunch of GCDs on macros and stuff like that which is terrible. You maybe need 1-2 text macros for mechanic reminders but macros don't need to be binded

@MothKira Oh I'm not about the unused button debate I'm just here for L2 > R2 slander For SAM specfically, 40 buttons is the bare minimum option since everything they have + sprint + lb + pot is 34 buttons. So like 6 free slots, 5 if you include mount. Thankfully we need like 0 macros.

@MothKira I have 8 macros on my scholar hotbar most for pet management on one of the "button bloat" jobs. If I can handle that then people are being babies or too lazy to experiment with keybinds that work for them *baring physical disabilities.

@itsacirclepun Yea, i'd be willing to give up 4-6 buttons, there's MANY ways to approach reducing overall button count that isn't "let's literally shave 50%+ of the buttons on every job". But i hate this idea that it was some kind of huge issue and that controller suffered from it.

@MothKira Button bloat is a problem*** but it's not so bad it needed a nuclear bomb thrown at it. I think changes like what they did to the tank skills are super smart, and are a really clever way to fix button bloat. 1 button rotations...less so

@MothKira Anyone who genuinely uses R2 first>L2 and L2 first>R2 practices sociopathic behavior. You have them both on the same hotbar option so it functions like a R2+L2 with 40 binds instead.

@MothKira I believe the clunkiness from me comes from my experience with the WXHB. I've had misinputs where I was hitting that instead of the regular HB. No issues with XHB but like I said some jobs are just getting a lot of buttons more than myself personally are not comfortable with.
