@RaccoonPrevails didnt games like melty aacc and 2xko (i think only with sidekick fuse?) have the feature where you can tap buttons during a combo to reduce the damage you take? would be interesting if that makes much of a difference for players put off by this

A year or so ago, I remember doing a thread of what casuals dislike about fighting games and the biggest things were -Long combos that can also wall carry. Some think long combos are okay, but they shouldn’t be the rule -Not enough defensive options.

Other than infinites, the other reason I'm saying watcher is because there feels like there's such a clear divide between good and bad cards for some characters (even worse when the bad cards r rare and good ones r common/uncommon). This could def be skill issue on my part tho

Finished a10 on everyone in spire 2, I think defect is still my favorite character. Feels like draw + free energy is way too plentiful and lets you go infinite/psuedo infinite, so every other character sorta feels like watcher who I really hated in 1

@hotashis i love half the casts main strategy being to just force an infinite and skipping more than half of the cards in the game. the ancient bonuses are so good for enabling this type of gameplay too

unsolicited thoughts from playing like 50 hrs of high ascension in STS2 too much imba, the fun strategies are undertuned act 1 is just completely fucked, every fight does so much damage or is aoe elites are practically guaranteed to deal you at least 40 damage relics are sucky

@Mothron_ @svevolve_en Most decks are themed around their mechanics and traits, rarely is it just a mash of cards with no synergy. And they generally have distinct blood/shadow builds.
