@BlackRedGuard1 My go to for Palestinian public opinion in Gaza and the West Bank. My read of a few polls is: highly supportive of the Syrian revolution, highly critical of Assad and jihadists. Bombing Yarmouk absolutely pissed Palestinians off.

The war on Gaza in this past year has exposed Assad as a liability to any resistance against Israel and American hegemony. Besides his tyranny against Syrian people, he barely provided any moral or material support to the resistance and Gaza.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure we had our weekly branch meetings at a damn church but still didn't seem to have any links or membership to the local community.

You know who’s really good at mutual aid? Churches. They have huge buildings. They have sick and shut in lists. Most of them run food pantries and warming shelters. They’re good contacts and will introduce you to the community. My DSA chapter holds its meetings in an Episcopalian church. Some pastors and priests are pretty progressive. The Black Panthers and RNA worked with several.

People think that the CIA just has a button that they push and there’s instant regime change, this is an amateurish simplification. What they do is coopt already existing, organic opposition, especially in insular, rural countries where foreigners aren’t trusted. What they’re extremely good at is doing research on you, finding out everything they can about you, looking for weak points, and giving you whatever you want if you play ball and it’s good for the U.S. You are a junior officer in one of the -stans that’s too cozy with the Russians, you called your president a dumbass, and host a weekly drinking and bs session? A lot of people agree with you? We do too. Oh, and your mom has cancer? How about this, we fly moms to the US for treatment on the house, we hook you up with some striking miners and punk kids in the capital who have been spraying “fuck the president”, and see where we go from there? Feed us news — here’s a guy at NYT I know, he’ll answer. The opposition is already there, the CIA just helps coordinate it and focus it. This is why it’s so important to root yourself in the masses so they can’t do that.

Because 🇮🇱 is killing all of the police in Gaza, chaos has broken out. There is no currency being delivered; the few ATMs that are there are not being filled up with cash at all anymore; no one can access money in their bank accounts. The fee to receive money at a currency office was 5% last week & it is 20% this week because of the severe cash shortage. All because Netanyahu decided his next plan of action was to kill all of the police officers in a Gaza so that there would be complete chaos. 1/n
