A significant step towards stronger rural digital connectivity in Andhra Pradesh! In relation to the implementation of the revised BharatNet programme, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between DBN, Government of Andhra Pradesh, APBIL, BSNL and APSFL to strengthen broadband infrastructure across the state. MoU signing ceremony was attended by Shri Shyamal Mishra (Administrator, Digital Bharat Nidhi), Shri Anand Khare (Director General - Telecom, DoT), Ms. Geetanjali Sharma (CEO, APBIL), Shri Papa Sudhakara Rao (Director - Enterprise Business, BSNL) and Shri Dinesh Kumar Garg (DDG, ABP Implementation, DoT). ₹2,432 crores have been sanctioned to expand and develop rural telecom infrastructure across 13,426 Gram Panchayats and to improve last-mile connectivity in villages.
