Aspiring Garbologist

I love hoop, but I'm good on the soap opera. There are six games left in the season. The guys are playing hard and the games are important. This is pre-playoffs playoffs. This is one of the best times of the hoop year. But I'm not really seeing much coverage of the games or talk about the players or the season. (Minus MVP race stuffs.) Instead, my FYP is populated with the Pistons/TMac story, the Ivey story, the Cuban selling story, and now the BClarke story. Those are all worth knowing about, sure, but man, I wish I was seeing detailed breakdowns of Paul George's return, the wrinkles that have come back to the Celtics offense with Tatum's comeback, the Nuggets Jekyll and Hyde offense and defense, and Julian Champagnie being 6 threes away from setting the Spurs' team record. Shoot, I'd even like to read up on Daeqwon Plowden out in Sacramento. Don't get me wrong: The big stories pay the bills, keep peopled tuned into network TV, keep casuals scrolling. But...and maybe it's just my For You, I'd love to see more talk about the actual game, see more love for the game, and less of the other stuff.

People phrasing it like the league/Bulls are punishing Jaden Ivey for believing in Jesus are being dense on purpose. Jaden Ivey was already one step out of the league when he got sent to NBA purgatory in Chicago. The Bulls had to ask themselves was the player they were most likely going to let walk in FA worth all the trouble he was causing (being openly anti-LGBTQ, harassing reporters, etc.,), and the answer to the question was no. It has nothing to do with him believing in Jesus. His own family has left him, he needs help.

How you gone say Steph don’t know the Lord? I used to do the same when I first became a Christian. But then I learned that you gotta be careful to judge another one of God’s servants. Has Steph “compromised” in some areas? Yea, but who hasn’t. God is the final judge yall gotta be more careful. It’s ok to call out sin and beseech those unto righteousness. Ya here’s the issue. Pretending it’s celebrating gay sex. It’s celebrating a group of people who did not have the same rights or equality for decades in this country gaining those rights and equalities. This is like saying we celebrate black history month to celebrate someone being black. No we celebrate black history month because it’s a celebration of the black race being given the same rights and equalities they did not have for decades upon decades. That’s why they celebrate it
