@British_Airways @niste89 At the very minimum you could put something prominent on your website about what's happening and what you're doing to fix it. Bland "We're sorry..." messaging doesn't help. And the tracking website is down as well.

@niste89 As soon as we have individual, specific updates to share, we will update the tracking files of customer's who were affected. Due to the number of displaced bags, this may take a little longer than usual, and we appreciate your patience in this process. Kelly

Dear @British_Airways, instead of replying to all delayed bag messages to the T5 baggage fiasco with a generic "We're sorry...", please put something prominent on your website about what you're doing to resolve the problem. And fix the 404 errors on the tracking website too.

@bobstoneauthor @susie_dent My copy is long gone, but I use "sturry" regularly. Both as the person doing the sturrying, and as the person waiting for the sturrier.

@MrDaveScott @susie_dent Thanks for that. I must dig my copy out! I presume if Claudia Winkleman did it, it would be a Sturry with a fringe on top...

A question: what are the things you wish there was a word for? And have you come up with your own word to fill that gap?

@BaconRolypoly That’s what Neil says. ‘It keeps my neck warm.’ I said, ‘so wear a scarf,’ to which he replied indignantly, ‘I’m not FRENCH.’

I fear this might be my most controversial take ever, but I agreed to put it to a vote so here we are. Hoodies should only be worn by men young enough not to look silly carrying a skateboard.

Sat in a pub now (strange but true) and they’ve got a selection of books to read as many pubs do, but most pubs don’t have a Haynes manual. Reading perfection. The hours I spent reading Haynes manuals about 30 years ago or more. I haven’t actually got a Granada, but still

And now I’m here for my morning coffee. I’ve never been to this little cafe/coffee shop by the canal in Mile End. If I was looking for a word to describe this place, that word would be ‘pink’. Very pink. Pink, with a hint of pink.

@benkbullock I will go back tomorrow and scour the shelves for something at least costing £2.26 with the same offer tag...

Earlier this evening I bought a packet of Chorizo from the COOP. I noted with interest that the cost was £1.75 for the packet. There was a special offer of "any 2 for £4" underneath. I stood staring at that for quite some time before placing the single packet of Chorizo into my basket carefully, and walking to the till VERY slowly indeed still with the "thousand yard stare" in my eyes.

I am now going to cook Jamaican Brown Chicken stew, with rice & peas (in fact kidney beans). Somewhat bizarrely, this means a trip to Waitrose. That may be a controversial statement but I will not be around until much later to read the surprised/offended/outraged responses.

I do that too, but when the bag starts to fill, I hold a contest where they battle to the death. I remove 2 at a time & squeeze them together until one breaks, that one gets eaten. I repeat the process until only one remains. The Champion goes back in the bag until the next tournament.
