I can't help but think how things would have gone differently if Israel had a sustainably Christian Lebanon, a Druze State, an Alawite state, and a Kurdish state in its near abroad. Suddenly an indigenous Jewish state wouldn't look so strange here. The Druze of Suweida are under siege, as a Jolani (ex-Al Qaeda) regime backed by Turkey, Saudi, and Qatar tries to assert control. They suffered horrific October 7-style atrocities, and they still have hundreds of hostages. They know Israel is their only real friend in the region. And Israel loves them back for it. We won't let jihadists harm our Druze brothers and sisters! The Golan Heights is my favorite part of Israel (outside Tel Aviv, of course), and you should all visit!

Aid is not being arbitrarily denied. 2. ⁠The Allenby Bridge Crossing was closed by decision of the government following a deadly attack at the crossing by a Jordanian aid truck driver, in which Israeli soldiers were killed. 3. ⁠UNRWA has demonstrated connections to Hamas. Other aid organizations are welcome to send aid - and do so continuously.
