Ashok was working in a private college while Poornima was earning a livelihood by giving tuition to children at home Recently, Poornima became acquainted with a man named Paleti Mahesh (22) from the same colony. This acquaintance turned into an extramarital affair. Ashok had warned her several times about this. Believing that their love would have no obstacles if the husband was eliminated, Poornima hatched a plan along with her lover Mahesh and his friend Sai. On 11 December when Ashok returned home after finishing his duties, Mahesh and his friend Sai, along with Poornima, strangled Ashok to death by tightening a chunni around his neck Afterwards, Poornima lodged a complaint with the police stating that her husband had died due to a heart attack. Suspecting Poornima, Ashok’s family members approached the police and filed a complaint. When the post-mortem report revealed that Ashok had been strangled to death, the police questioned the accused, during which Poornima and her lover confessed to committing the murder. Following this, the police arrested Poornima, Mahesh, and Sai and sent them to judicial remand #HusbandMurder
